rabbit
Paid max from 3 rides so far. On a slightly different topic...is Kent Rickardsson who's just beaten the Axeman in a match race Tony R's father? I seem to remember hearing he was an ex-rider or have I got him muddled up with someone else?

rabbit
Aha...thanks. Had a feeling there was a family connection in there somewhere. Suppose he would have had to have been very good to beat Brian A if it was his Dad. Edited October 3, 2006 by rabbit

Wackie
I see BA came in for Antonio in ht 12.Is he starting to get an excuse ready? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's probably just spotted someone from Poole in the crowd and developed a limp again. Subedei
I see BA came in for Antonio in ht 12.Is he starting to get an excuse ready? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's got to give young Shovlar something to cling on to. If I miss this heat Steve can say that I rode through the pain barrier for Tony's farewell and that no one should criticise me missing the odd Poole meeting. DoncasterDragons
One ride was too much as far as I'm concerned. He stated he was going to rest the "injured" leg for the rest of the season and yet five days after his club Poole went out of the Knock Out Cup semi-final without him, he's back in his kevlars again in a knockabout meeting. To quote Andy Millman from BBC's Extras: "He's having a laugh. Is he having a laugh!" Yes, at British speedway's expense, no less.

tommy
Is Tony's former club in trouble? Found this on the svt.se website: Speedwayklubben Masarna i Avesta är i ekonomisk kris. När klubben höll medlemsmöte igår kväll - kom det fram att underskottet är en halv miljon kronor from what I gather Avesta have a half a millon kroner debt? please correct me if i'm wrong. tarabanko
Yes Masarna is in debt.. The chairman has left his place and it is more or less chaos in Avesta. Both Leigh Adams and Fredrik Lindgren is not expected to stay. The rumour says that Adams will head for Bajen and Fredrik Lindgren to Luxo Stars. First was it Smederna who had debts or they do have it now also but not the same as for one month ago. Smederna has recieved 800.000:- Swedish Crowns in less than a month from sponsors and new memberships in Smederna + private sponsors. Smedernas total debt was 2,1 million SEK but are now down on: 1.3 million. Smederna went out to all members in Smederna first and told the news about the situation and the next day it was out in Eskilstunas localpapers. Smederna have played their cards open to Sponsors, members etc which was the right thing to do. I belive the situation at Masarna is worse as the club has not shoved their cards open for sponsors and etc.... And then the Chairman of Masarna left his place I can only belive that it is quite bad for Masarna. I do belive more Swedish elite clubs soon will follow as they has to shove that they hasnt any debts to riders, members in the club before 1st January 2007. The only clubs who are going OK is what I assume: Luxo Stars and VMS Elit. Sorry for my bad english Edited October 5, 2006 by tarabanko
