Sandie
Very nice the island is lovely, just needs a speedway track! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Been before and thats why we are going back for a special event!! Think we will be taking in some cricket rather than speedway. I not sure it needs a speedway track - just sky sports!!!!!
Boardrider
Back to the riders roster, as Scott seems to have the British nomination stitched up, its unlikely we'll get a second rep (unless of course Eddie gets it) so there's not much hope for the future of British riders in it is there? I'd love to see us go back to the old style, one off final as the current system is set up to maintain the 'few' at the expense of the 'many', and is what is wrong with speedway generally, all TV driven as per football but without the money pumped in. Hazzman
Bsi are in deep conversation in the next coming days over using Czestochowa as a new GP venue. With Leszno assured GPs for 08 and 09 is this a sign of goodbye Bydgoszcz, I truly hope not. Or maybe Czestochowa to be GP 07 calendar and then used for SWC events to add. If they drop Bydgoszcz, BSI needs shooting.
salty
Surely after the quality of this year's Bydgoszcz GP only BSI would be so daft as to drop it. By far the best GP over the past 3 or 4 years.
Subedei
I think Bydgoszcz's days will be numbered as soon as the great man hangs up his GP kevlars. And if rumours are true and 2007 will be Gollob's last hurrah as a GP rider, my guess is that Bydgoszcz will, once again, stage the closing GP of a discredited circus in 2007. As to 2008, yes, I can see Czestochowa, with their impressively upgraded stadia, hosting a Polish GP. But, long term, if BSI can find partners in Germany and Russia, Sweden and Poland could find themselves with just a single GP each.
Paragon
I was at Czestochowa a few weeks ago for a couple of meetings, the track would (with the right preperation) produce as good racing as Bydgoscz, but the stadium itself is much better, with numbered seats for everyone & a good view wherever you sit. The city is also undergoing a massive facelift as well & there are plenty of hotels. The down side is that the track is a fair way from the centre & the transport links are rubbish. There are only 2 buses an hour run near the track & with 20000 punters there they are overwhelmed & not a Taxi insight either. Out of all the Polish tracks I've been to though I would rather go to Tarnow, I rekon the big banked track would produce the best racing the GP has seen. Paragon
Racing wise I quite like Torun, the stadium is not up to much but the few times I've been there i've seen some cracking racing. Stadium wise the new stadium at Gorican in Croatia is a supurb facility & the locals are very friendly & the best GP venue was in my view is Daugavpils it was a shame the track was rubbish cos the stadium & the food were fantastic.
