SCB
My opinion is that if we're just paying £25 to meet up and nothing special, why bother. We can meet up in a pub/bar/club for nothing but if we were to all get our suits out and actually do it with a bit of class, it's a bit special and not something we do often. That said, we're speedway folk, we're not used to posh, so maybe a quick bite to eat in McDonalds and over the road to the pub is the best way

Seriously though, it will be a good night. There will be plenty of food, plenty of drinks, DJ til late, other entertainment to be agreed. I totally agree with you SCB that we could all just meet up in a bar/club for nothing but having an organised event just for 'speedway folk' would be a bit special !! This is only my opinion !! I will organise it and then will probably have 398 spare tickets, ha ha !!!! £1 a ticket on e-bay !!

Sandie
Cardiff weekend is normally just speedway folk, this is when we out number the locals and takeover <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correct. You just have to walk into any bar or eatery and there will be someone you know. And by the time you have spotted them, they have spotted you and its to late to hide!!!! Personally if I joined a group event I would need to know EXACTLY what my money is paying for as we already have a lot of fun and games without having an organised event and to be honest without paying a lot of money. I dont want to put a party pooper but money is always tight and what I can get for free is better than paying out for. That said - if the rest of my 'group' paid I would be there with bells on!! London Witch
Whereas I appreciate what you are willing to organise, I'm not sure that you'll get sufficient numbers interested. Its been discussed on another thread just how expensive its becoming to have a weekend in Cardiff, especially for a family. After forking out for tickets, accomodation, travel etc I doubt I'd pay out another £25 (x4) for my family to have a night out. But if Sandie wants to pay for me, I'll be there with bells on too!! Good luck anyway.

leanne1706
Is there somewhere that everyone meets up after the GP on Saturday night? It's our first Cardiff GP and we're staying at a Travel Inn just outside Cardiff on the Saturday night, and it would definitely be good to meet up with people and have a drink (or three!)
