Crazy Munchie
Couldn't see a thread for this anywhere else so thought I'd start one. Anyone got any news of rider/team line-ups and of possible updates? should be a good chance to keep an eye on some of the youngsters for the future. iris123
I'd say Poland Sweden Denmark(2007 champs was my prediction last year and i stick by that ) Germany
Steve Turner
Martin Smolinksi will be in the German team, surely ?? A home win for Poland obviously. No doubt they're practicing at least three times on the track this week. Easy second for Sweden. Would have made a much better contest held in Britain. Maybe neutral venues for such meetings should be decided once the line-up is known.
Guest Babe619
I would like Sweden to win with Fredrik Lindgren top scoring I hope Christian Hefenbrock does well for his team
Joester
Martin Smolinksi will be in the German team, surely ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He is 21 and it's an under 21 meeting, so 20 and under
garf
He is 21 and it's an under 21 meeting, so 20 and under <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe the rule is that they can be in the team in the year they become 21.
German Speedway Fan
He got 21 last year in December so he isn't any longer a U21 Rider
TwoMinuteWarning
Germany: ( Not 100% sure if their team is correct, have found the info on a germanforum)1. Christian Hefenbrock 2. Tommy Stange 3. Tobias Kroner 4. Kevin Wölbert 5. Max Dilger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tobias Busch for Thomas Stange, I think. Has to be between Poland and Sweden, dosen't it? Trouble is, Lindback is sooooooo inconsistent and (allegedly) troubled with injuries this season, so I'll go with Poland since they are on home dirt (well, since it's not a BSI event, Olsen won't be there to take all the dirt away!) As regards neutral venues, I don't think this type of meeting would get much of crowd in the UK (though I would certainly be there), apart from all the British promoters waving contracts at the best young riders, of course. Hopefully there will be updates on the Polish sites? Edited September 15, 2006 by TwoMinuteWarning
tommy
From what I hear Lindback won't race tomorrow. Poland is the favourite.
TwoMinuteWarning
Not surprising. Lindback picked up a knee injury Monday, then surprisingly rode at Poole on Thursday, but pulled out of the meeting after a couple of rides. Poland to win by 12 points
wjasica
Poland are World Champions . About the only world cup win this year.

Paragon
Wifey & I were at the meeting, not a bad meeting either they should have had the proper U21 final here instead of giving it to the wops. Rybnik is a fine racing circuit with plenty of passing options and racing lines & not a bad stadium either. But a distinct lack of Taxi's which meant a 2 mile walk back to the hotel. andout
If anyone who went to this meeting picked up a spare programme that they would be willing to sell & ship it to me in Canada please let me know. Jools
Paragon, You forgot to mention the eminently entertaining dancing OBI mascot! Seriously, what a great mtg. Hlib was suberb going from last to first in one heat & it was a joy to see Lindgren going out chasing the dirt. Just a shame Lindback wasn't there, coz I think he would have loved the track conditions. Also, the Germans were unlucky not to be third - I felt they were a better team than the Danes (who had a better individual). Ole Olsen please take note!! Dirt on tracks = good racing with plenty of passing. Fantastic
