SunArisen
As a side note, there didn't seem to be anyone filming there today. Except me. I shot over 30 minutes of action and I think it will look great when I capture it on my new Mac Pro later tonight. Got all the action. If anyone wants a copy I can do a DVD for £7 inc postage. No commentary etc but a nice souvineer of the meeting itself. Of course if there wasa pro crew there, let me know and I will keep the footage to myself. Just didn't see any cameras at all. Got heat 16 a treat and the final where Crump and Pedersen go within inches of the fence. Great stuff. Anyway I will stick the action up on Ebay for those that might want it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Word to the wise, although I would love to see the DVD, please do beware of copyright provisions, which I suspect do not belong to Poole Speedway but the BSPA. You may find it a condition of admission that you cannot film without written permission. I know a person who has come up against this and has had all his work on Streetfire taken off because he had filmed events for which he was not authorised by the Championship franchisee of the RAC/MSA. He has been selling DVD's too and awaits a verdict on that. Poor bloke is crapping himself. Different circumstances, but worth checking. Incidentally, as I often say, once you have used a Mac, you never go back!
Seb the Snail
This looks a great line-up, but if more than 10 of the 16 riders listed take part, then I am the love-child of orion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Phew! That was close... luckily the correct answer was exactly 10 out of the original 16 so I am spared the DNA test! For the record, the 6 changes were Hamill (in for Lindgen), Boyce (Bjarne), Shields (Pepe), KK (Lindback), Schlein (PK) & Max (Kylmakorpi). Congratulations to Crump for adding some more silverware to his collection. It certainly sounds as though the best man won on the day. shazzybird
To Hans credit,he did attempt to shake hands with Scott after the race, but was refused. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought they shook hands right in front of where I was sat with the girls was pleased they decided to "bury the hatchet" was becoming a little predictable each meeting and sooner or later someone would get hurt, only time will tell though Always nice to be in Poole and although the racing (except for the last race) was result from the gate was an enjoyable day out, nice to see Kevin Smith again after all these years and seeing forum members as always yep inc. you Silver Cheetah Shame Mark had to withdraw from the meeting but like already has been said he wasn't himself although he scored 3 from 2 rides which is slightly better than 4 from 5 Thanks to my chauffeurs for the weekend SuzieQ for collecting me from Kent on the Saturday only to find out Eastbourne was off (hohum had to go "home" to Poole straight away gutted!!) and Kev H for bringing home (even though I didn't want to leave ) BobC many thanks sorry Newport was off for you, nice to meet you though. Best man by a mile won on the day only rider to win from Gate 4, just shows he's worthy World Champ can win from any gate Gutted Todd went round and waved to the crowd had a touch of dejavu maybe teletext was right afterall only time will tell. Squirelnutkins
Good meeting last night at Poole! Thought it would be off! The torrential Rain we had on the A3, M25, M3 and M27! Didn't believe Tabby or Shazzy when they texted saying it was nice down there, we got down there to find it was sunny Thought the crowd was a Poor crowd! I know the rain would put people off though! Jason Crump was very good! Shame Mark pulled out! Hope Kasparszk (sp) is ok! Thats one way to get over the line!
bazaar3
Not sure which topic to post this in... I thought overall yesterday, it was a good meeting overall with some good racing and entertainment. Crowd was bigger than I expected, but the only thing I think that let it down for me was the state of the track. It was gripless, and as slick as an airport runway but with caliber of riders, it still made for entertaining riding. Very disappointed about Bjarne not being there which bacsically ended the hope of a Poole rider winning it but to be fair I think he may have got third place, but we will never know. Jase the Ace was once again outstanding and his lines and gating was just way ahead of everybody. Next was Nicki and Greg who rode well and and unlucky Nicholls who nearly got third. I dont know where to post this but can I say, I dont know who sets the food prices if it is the stadium owners or whoever, but why in the back straight grandstand are FRIES £1.10 and a normal sized pork SAUSAGE AND FRIES £2.85 and would someone like to care to explain why an ordinary sausage costs £1.75. Mr Wong
He must have very thick skin or be very frustrated by now though Rabs, not one of his little wind ups have even got a nibble let alone a full on bite Seems to me Shovvys got his own personal stalker! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yawn
rabbit
Funny..that phrase comes to mind reading your posts too. You've not answered my question about the Poole race jacket either... Is there a legit reason for it, or just intent on Shovvy-baiting?

rabbit
Harassing - don't make me laugh - you're a fine one to talk - Parsloes springs to mind. One perfectly reasonable question from me and a follow-up after no reply. I'm just intrigued...you certainly aren't a Poole fan. And yes, you do need permission. On the subject of Parsloes, yes it is easy to jump onto bandwagons as certain Mods here like to do, but please read his continual attacks on me too, there are two sides to each story you know There is an 'inner circle' on this forum which I have no wish too be part of, but I will on this one occasion seek your permission to use a Poole avatar Edited October 2, 2006 by Mr Wong
rabbit
Good grief - you are a delicate flower. Soliciting? Aggressive? Eh? If you'd be so kind as to contact me via PM outlining these 'aggressive' approaches I will gladly retract them (although seeing as I'd only posted twice directly at you - once asking a question and the second time mentioning you'd not answered that question it seems an over-reaction). I thought it a perfectly reasonable light-hearted question with the appropriate smilies. Still, it takes all sorts. As for an inner circle, do tell. I'm certainly not part of it. If you take my comments regarding permission as being serious then there's no hope at all. Still, if it makes you happier, just let me know and I will gladly add you to my ignore list, then I cannot be accused of 'harassment'. If we can only talk to the people we know on here, it's going to be a much smaller forum me thinks. Edited October 2, 2006 by rabbit

No problem Shazz, good to say hello as well. I was sat a little further along the straight from where you were, almost directly below Mr and Mrs Rabbit! I can assure you,Hans did proffer his hand in acknowledgement of a hard fought race, but Scott DEFINITELY DID NOT accept. He did nod his head, but that was it.I kept an eye on when they met in the semi, but didnt see them shake hands then either. You are right though,it has to stop.Remember Nicki and Greg and all that hoo haa in the GP's?.They have both 'kissed and made up',in what was a far more aggressive situation. Please guys, enough is enough, before either or both of you get hurt. robolots
Well done to Jason Crump-easily the best rider on the day by a country mile. Not the best meeting in the world though, was more dirt in the carpark!! I hope the track was as slick and dirtless as it was due to the uncertain weather and it is not the norm, or I feel sorry for all you Poole supporters if that is how it is everyweek. Still, nice stadium with good viewing from all parts of the track

rabbit
Agree 100% Bob. The dodgy forecast had all to do with it. Even Craig mentioned how different it was yesterday to every other time he's ridden it this year. Still, as the dirtline (wht little there was) moved out ther were some cracking moves on the outside lines.
