KN1
looking at the standings it is quite possible that Hans could get into the top 3 by the end of the series, now i know they have said his points dont count but how is this going to look to joe public ? another speedway cock me thinks. at least we know he will be champion in 2007
Crump99
at least we know he will be champion in 2007 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The amount of people who think that Crump is calling it a day at the end of the season is quite astounding. Crump has two titles, soon to be 3 after 2007, and Hans has not been able to hack it over a full series. He is a threat but the question mark is still there
Sir Jasper
agreed, crump has won this series at a canter, he has taken the last few rounds very easily. Cant see anybody else but Crump for next year. I think he knows how to handle being World Champ now. As I think he struggled with the mantle before. Crump99
were see on that but what about the main question <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mickey mouse but this is speedway after all. Let Smiler explain it because BSI knew best after all - it's a situation of their own making if it happens

Subedei
The fact his points dont count is farcical, but with the pressure on being in the full series next year will Andersen revert to the non entity he was before? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That remains a possibility - he could revert to his previous status alongside Bjarne Pedersen, although BP's status as a GP rider must surely be under threat. Maybe BP will be the Andersen of 2007 - no, I don't see it either. But I can't see anyone getting anywhere close to Crump in 2007. Motivation a problem? Won the world title on Saturday, scored a maximum for Wroclaw on Sunday - I don't see a motivation problem, to be honest.
Sir Jasper
as for the original question, he was not chosen to compete and therefore is not an eligible rider, the rules have always stated that for such riders points do not count. sweet_lil_mystery
The fact his points dont count is farcical, but with the pressure on being in the full series next year will Andersen revert to the non entity he was before? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I doubt that, the new Hans is here to stay I reckon. His riding probably at the start of the season was to prove his point after being left out of the GPs, but now he's proven his point (more than once in fact ) he's still riding incredibly, not just in the GPs but absolutely everywhere. So I'd be VERY surprised if he goes back to the form he had when he was last in the GPs.
Ron Butler
were see on that but what about the main question <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, I can't find the 'main question' only a little supposition! I wonder which rider will have the most threads dedicated to him before the end of the season- Crump or Andersen - perhaps even Nicki Pedersen who seems to have moved out of the spotlight recently. shazzybird
Great another Bacon Balls (have I spelt Hans Andersen right ) thread, just what we need. Only surprise is, it's not started by Private Dancer.
SCB
The fact his points dont count is farcical, but with the pressure on being in the full series next year will Andersen revert to the non entity he was before? Maybe Hans will do a Loram? Do well as a Wildcard one year, win the title the next?! I'd say it's certainly not impossible, tho the Crumpy fan in me hopes not BTW, someone has said if Hans finishes in the top 3, BSI have said they will give him a medal and as he has already qualified for the GP's anyway, I can't see whats so "Mickey Mouse". crazysue
I think we should all take pity on Nicki and start a thread up for him......I miss the good old days of Nicki bashing
Bill leahy
Also herd that if Hans makes it into the top three BSI are going to give him the bronze medal and recognize they were wrong: after all who ever finishes fourth can't justify going on the rostrum to get his third place medal when a rider beat him on points in less Gp's... Biddows
Awwwwwwww me to CS, good ol' days of Nikki Bashing whatever happened to them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure, deep down, Nicki misses them too. It probably hurts him not to be Public Enemy No. 1 any more.
shazzybird
Maybe that's why he's calmed down so much, he had me crying on Saturday with his comments about the ref, my bro has now become a Nikki fan after years of disliking him (turncoat!) I love to dislike him (Nikki hmmmm ok yep and my bro ) so not much hope of me ever cheering him on in a race There always has to be a baddie, when I was a kid it was Mike Sampson and any rider from Eastbourne (sorry Middlo) for a while now it's been Nikki P then Hans comes along and nicks the title from under him, it'll soon pass he's too cute to be a baddie
AndyM
agreed, crump has won this series at a canter, he has taken the last few rounds very easily. Cant see anybody else but Crump for next year. I think he knows how to handle being World Champ now. As I think he struggled with the mantle before. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True. He learned lessons after losing his crown previously, made substantial changes to his machinery and back-up crew, and reaped the benefits - and could well develop the sort of dominance that Tony R achieved, particularly while Nicky Pedersen seems out of sorts. By contrast, while Hans has done very well in the GPs he has ridden, whether he's able to sustain the effort and go through the same learning curve as Crumpy remains to be seen. Sure, he's a potential world champion but winning the GP circus requires a different mindset to winning just a couple of individual GPs. I wish him luck - some competition for the main man is always desirable.
Crump99
BTW, someone has said if Hans finishes in the top 3, BSI have said they will give him a medal and as he has already qualified for the GP's anyway, I can't see whats so "Mickey Mouse". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When that's confirmed then that I'll look at it again. Seeding and leaving him out in the first place was classic mouse by BSI, speedway's GP organisers. Hans has qualified for 2007 but did not for 2006 so I don't believe that he should get anything at the expense of the 4th place person who was there by right: classic mouse! KN1
the point is he could end up being second in the world, without actually being second in the world it was clear TR was going to quit around the time of his testimonial, (full respect and best wishes to the main man) ,so why not allow Hans to continue in the championship, after all we all agree he should have been seeded in the first place.
