crumpy
Fortunately, Biddows, Millard apparently didn't think to do so. He would probably have had Jason born 100% in Brisbane which would have been a shock to Mrs [Pat?] Crump who, I assure you, was in Bristol at the time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jasons Mum is Carol Crump (nee Street) dont know who Pat is
T.N.T.
With Iversen probably getting that last pick it makes the Danes, with four riders, look a little over represented. However, given Iversen's connections with Reading I would be astounded if he got overlooked. When was the last time GB only had one rider in the World Championships? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neils does have an outside chance, but from what I have heard, the ONE real place available is between Simon Stead and Peter Karlsson. The fors and againsts are . . Steady - ^ - Wanted by the BSI to take part to partner Scotty Steady - v - If Scott has to be nominated, they may opt elsewhere. Steady - ^ - age on his side. PK - ^ - Got to be the best rider not in the GP's PK - ^ - BSI dont wont to be shown up again as Hans is doing if PK gets the chance PK - v - At the wrong side of his career PK - V - First reserve anyway Apart from Iversen, maybe only Fredrik Lindgren realy warrants a call up, especially if he lifts the World U-21 title. Interested to read the debate. Surely the key question is who are the best 15 riders in the world rather than the arbitrary numbers game about how many from each nation? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sadly polotics comes into it so its not that easy, plus your list of the top 15 riders in the world would be different from mine and many others. Subedei
Jasons Mum is Carol Crump (nee Street) dont know who Pat is <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't Chris Louis' mother called Pat? I seem to recall the first Mrs (John) Louis ran off with Jeremy Doncaster many moons ago.

shazzybird
Maybe 1.5 British contestants. Jason Crump was born in Bristol, England when his father, Phil, was riding for a an English team. He's also based in the Northampton area. Maybe the British speedway authorities could claim a 50% interest in him on the basis that half a loaf is better than no bread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe if you ask Jason, you'll find out an even better answer he was asked if we could put it down to a Brit win the first time he won a round his answer was "Nah it's for Australia" I read that as 'John Louis ran off with Jeremy Doncaster'. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Best you go have another drink AM
Iffoid
I would like to think that if they give another Brit a chance it will be Chris Harris - his score in the qualifier surely shows that he is the next best Brit and should be given the place? south coast robin
Can only see Scottyboy as the lone Brit in 2007 , can't see Simon and Chris would be good enough which would be bad news for us Brits
