Steve Turner
Well ! Many surprises at the Czech GP, not least the line-up of the Final. Hans Andersen, Matej Zagar, Antonio Lindback and Jarek Hampel ! This caused the biggest swing of points this game has ever seen and was a major spanner in the works for the World No.1, who WAS leading the competition ! Congratulations go to Jason Crump for winning the minor championship...but we're far from finished in the big one 1st ~ Cougar Pirate ~ 210,000 pts 2nd ~ full-throttle ~ 129,247 pts 3rd ~ Dark Horse ~ 112,775 pts 4th ~ KevtheRev ~ 73,647 pts 5th ~ GLSDiamond ~ 71,260 pts 6th ~ drakey "# 2" ~ 60,800 pts 7th ~ buzzybee ~ 36,860 pts 8th ~ beercellar ~ 30,100 pts 9th ~ Bezza ~ 27,000 pts 10th ~ Sulli ~ 22,300 pts 11th ~ robpeasley ~ 20,200 pts 12th ~ PanthersChamp06 ~ 20,000 pts 13th ~ London Witch "# 9" ~ 18,575 pts 14th ~ Col ~ 13,402 pts 15th ~ Diamond Exile ~ 12,920 pts 16th ~ Subedei "# 4" ~ 12,000 pts 17th ~ woody-the-bee "World # 1" ~ 10,275 pts 18th ~ Shale Eater "# 5" ~ 10,000 pts 19th ~ J-D ~ 8,920 pts 20th ~ skitts61 ~ 5,650 pts 21st ~ Jo_1515 ~ 5,355 pts 22nd ~ Joanne ~ 5,120 pts 23rd ~ strop ~ 5,000 pts 24th ~ Crazy Munchie ~ 4,573 pts 25th ~ Shalewhale ~ 3,475 pts 26th ~ Joester ~ 3,315 pts 27th ~ tomazpozrl "# 6" ~ 2,430 pts 28th ~ garf ~ 2,400 pts 29th ~ The Concrete Cowboy ~ 2,200 pts 30th ~ Kev78 ~ 2,160 pts 31st ~ Tabby3 ~ 2,060 pts 32nd ~ PsychoGirl ~ 1,997 pts 33rd ~ Timbo "# 8" ~ 1,750 pts 34th ~ crazysue ~ 1,150 pts 35th ~ bananas ~ 1,027 pts 36th ~ born_2b_mad ~ 940 pts 37th ~ smillie ~ 900 pts 38th ~ Buzzing Bee ~ 832 pts 39th ~ creetingblue ~ 779 pts 40th ~ pirate liam ~ 700 pts 41st ~ Black Country Speedway ~ 652 pts 42nd ~ Ruby Tuesday ~ 625 pts 43rd ~ Electro ~ 607 pts 44th ~ Phil "# 7" ~ 508 pts 45th ~ Silver Cheetah ~ 506 pts 46th ~ grumpy ~ 505 pts 47th ~ Charles ~ 455 pts 48th ~ sccoter ~ 370 pts 49th ~ tommy ~ 369 pts 50th ~ .*EMMA*. ~ 356 pts 51st ~ Laser558 ~ 355 pts 52nd ~ sportsnut ~ 346 pts 53rd ~ pug/206 ~ 340 pts 54th ~ smiles "# 3" ~ 300 pts 55th ~ jill ~ 281 pts =56th ~ dred18 ~ 227 pts =56th ~ cleggy621 ~ 227 pts 58th ~ BritPete ~ 225 pts =59th ~ Last-2-1st ~ 200 pts =59th ~ DutchGrasstrack ~ 200 pts 61st ~ beesboybert ~ 192 pts 62nd ~ shirls ~ 182 pts 63rd ~ Kirsty Kasprzak ~ 146 pts 64th ~ covbees7 ~ 128 pts 65th ~ Addy ~ 127 pts 66th ~ steve jones ~ 121 pts 67th ~ Seb the Snail ~ 110 pts 68th ~ Squirelnutkins ~ 105 pts 69th ~ German Speedway Fan ~ 100 pts 70th ~ schumifan ~ 60 pts 71st ~ Cheetah4Life ~ 59 pts 72nd ~ Vincent Vega ~ 25 pts 73rd ~ MAD 3:16 ~ 21 pts 74th ~ osn ~ 20 pts 75th ~ cov_bees_2005 ~ 10 pts =76th ~ Mateusz ~ 8 pts =76th ~ panthersfan ~ 8 pts 78th ~ Chris ~ 7 pts =79th ~ Jay ~ 2 pts =79th ~ salty ~ 2 pts Gone, but not forgotten... London Witch
Nice one, Cougar Pirate. Jarek did you proud. I was really hoping that Sully would get to the final to earn Smiles mega points. As for Leigh Adams. First and last time I go with him!
Steve Turner
First the bad news... Star Lady, robbiec45, Lis, Heathcote, MattK, sarahlynch and Minianitsmall all dropped out of the race for this year's crown Talking of bad news... World No.1 woody-the-bee lost 70,000 Credits ! World No.3 smiles lost 40,000 ! {VERY unfortunate though} World No.4 Subedei lost 20,000 ! and World No.9 London Witch also lost 20,000 ! King's Lynn fan Star Lady lost all of her 18,000 on Crump and Gollob. Better luck next year mate... On the plus side... Cougar Pirate retakes the lead, after gaining 160,000 (!) Credits, thanks to Jarek Hampel. Dark Horse won 71,000 ! full-throttle gained 70,000 ! NOBODY went for Lindback at all...but well done to Buzzybee for picking both Hampel AND Zagar. As did Crazy Munchie and J-D. World No.2 drakey was the only other person to pick two finalists successfully. He went for Hans and Hampel, as I did unofficially, but surprisingly nobody else did ! robpeasley
Well, I normally stick with my initial gut reaction, but this time just as I went to press the send button, I changed Bjarne Pedersen's name to that of Jarek Hampel. And it saved me from having just 200 credits left... and now I've shot up to 11th!!! All the best Rob

Steve Turner
Thanks Lis...but I have to say I was amazed you went for Crump over Hans for this GP...what were you thinking !? Good luck in '
Lis
I thought Nicki would do summat tonight to defend his 3rd place and that crump would celebrate with a win how wrong can one be Edited August 26, 2006 by Lis

Subedei
Well, a bit of a disaster - Nicki P getting into mischief and Tomasz Gollob meekly surrendering in Ht 20. I thought about going with Hampel instead of TG, but I'm not capable of such a betrayal. Only surprise, to be honest, is that I'm still so high up the table. Star Lady
At least I went out with a bang and not a whimper Many thanks Steve for all your hard work to organise it all and as MacArthur said in the 1940s and some nondescript bit player said in a film ..... I'll be back
Silver Bee
I would have been just as well off staying with Nicholls instead of changing to Bjarne who was even outscored by Lubos ! Then Adams EF Ah well.

buzzybee
Fantastic GP for me! from 20th to 7th in one go! It was great seeing Jarek and Matej reach the final. But nothing beat the look on the world champions face as he lost his title

All that hard work! But now I have a new challenge - to beat you! 2 GP's left, and I've got 25k to make up.

SCB
I would have been just as well off staying with Nicholls instead of changing to Bjarne who was even outscored by Lubos ! Well some of us had money on Richardson and Pedersen, oh how embarrasing!! (who was it who told me Bjarne looked good in practice?!). I did however have money on Hans meaning I have successfully picked 3 of the GP winners this year! Hans x2 and AJ.
