lawman
I thought I had heard every load of crap from Millard but he surpassed every thing tonight I had someone visiting me tonight who had never seen speedway before he said after heat 2 'who the hell is that idiot I've heard better bingo callers. I think it is time to do something before Sky lose the tv following. Can somebody find an E-Mail address at Sky that we can send our thoughts to, I am sure they don't realise just how bad he is. If any of us did our jobs like he does we would soon be looking for a new job. He is getting money without any form of guilt. Please letts get together on this before we all go mad. Thank god for Jonno he saved the Day again. Edited August 27, 2006 by lawman
Bee
please somebody do something about this man! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's been said before. Dave Lanning would be the ideal man for the job. And he is already with Sky I believe. Trouble is I remember some of his gaffs too!
tarabanko
Anyone knows how Millard looks like? Have heard him so many times now but has never seen him.. Dave Lanning??? No and NO.. Bring in Clive Fisher...
Chris
Millard is dreadful, but I always gave him a chance as he is an old boy who is trying his best and providing comedy value of the highest order on a Monday and Saturday night. I personally don't think he has a clue about the sport and has limited knowledge even after being in the job for years. Some of his cock ups tonight and in past years have been nothing short of hilarious. The best one tonight being when he was ecstatic for a whole lap when he thought Richardson was at the front and then realised he was tailed off about half a lap behind. Brilliant. I just think tonight went that bit too far in terms of ruining the coverage for us with his what seemed like a cock up in EVERY heat. Sorry Tony, but time to go. It's amazing how many times in Millard races riders gain or lose places without passing or being passed

When you consider the amount of money Sky invest in their sports coverage it beggars belief that they then go and employ someone who has proven time and time again that he is totally incapable of doing a competent job. Its seems clear to me that they dont moniter their programmes because lets be honest the guy would have been down the road years ago? of course he may be cheap and probably thats the reason hes still here? I dont think Sky have to worry to much about viewing figures dropping off because they know us Speedway fans have got nowhere else to go. I think its that old saying "pay peanuts you get monkeys" (apologies to monkeys!!!)
Guest PanthersChamp06
Speedway Fanzone is the way to go. Sky wont have to pay out for people like Millard.

norbold
What was worse was that he seemed genuinely amazed that Richardson had gone from first to last.
Sir Ted
This is the first time I've entered the Millard debate but after last nights cacophony of cock ups I would think Dennis Norden could devote a whole show to him. Perhaps someone can entice Jack Douglas out of TV retirement to replacement the clown. Oh, and Barbara Windsor as a like for like replacement for that airhead in the pits wouldn't be a bad idea either.
sweet_lil_mystery
Completely ridiculous last night!! He talks as if he knows nothing about the sport, and we want a commentator that's knowledgable! The funniest bit was when Nicki Pedersen was on the phone to the ref and Millard said "There's Lee Richardson on the phone". Um, what??? Have you noticed that Sophie ask her usual inane question stares intently at the rider then nods her head like someones operating her?? I dont know about you, although this a laughable Millard and her spoil my veiwing? I thought that when Sky first came out you could chose to have a commentary in a different language or none at all? salty
). Can somebody find an E-Mail address at Sky that we can send our thoughts to, I am sure they don't realise just how bad he is. Just go to Sky.com, there is a feedback link at the bottom of the page. You can give feedback to the Sports director (only 512 characters allowed though)

I think the riders give better interviews and say more than 'its hard out there ya no' then Sophies says 'well you'll doing well'. I dont blame sophie for that, she doesnt make mistakes like Milard, but maybe she should ask questions like, How do you feel about your chances? Is there anyone who you think will do well tonight? Is the track well prepared? Milard = crap and annoying Pearson = Bias and annoying.

Concrete Cowboy
Just sent this to the sky sports editor, i wonder if it will even get read ?. I have often felt like e-mailing on this subject but i now have no choice. Tony Millard's commentary on the Czech Speedway G.P. was the worst i have ever heard. The guy is usually terrible but this was awful. Constant repetition, wrong riders, he was even told by his co-commentator that it was not a wrong decision by the ref, but it was in-fact the rules. Please do something with him. I subscribe to sky sports purely for speedway but i will re-consider next season if this incompitent is still ruining your otherwise excellent coverage. Come on folks - let's get him out for next year.
