DanTheMan
haha as for sky shoving mics under the noses of riders as they see replays, i do think it's time they stopped, it's obvious to everybody that a rider will in the heat of the moment say a few choice words, we really need to stop this from happening, it's best to just film them with no sound, then give the riders a chance to calm down before they speak to them
Guest Jim Blanchard
Hans Andersen is a very talented and gifted speedway rider and though it can be said; I have personally questioned his integrity and motivation, he is none the less is committed to his ultimate goal of winning and to be as competitive as he can be. In answer to the original posters question: I know several multi world champions personally: and none of them are dignified in defeat - ever. Speedway racing at present it seems to me very much needs the likes of Hans Andersen for his pure natural ability and determination to succeed and also for us in that creating any interest in the sport to the general public - that we hold so dear. iris123
You are on form tonight Jim.Agree with your posts so far Must add that although Hans has that will to win,he is also very concerned about the safety of his fellow riders. On a number of occasions now he has been quick on the scene when a competitor has had an accident.Says a lot about the guy as well. Subedei
Andersen made a small error and 99.9% of riders wouldn't have exploited it. It was unfortunate (for Andersen) that Jason Crump was behind him and Crump's one of the 0.1% who would've (and did) exploit it. That 0.1% are world champions. scotty2hotty
Yes, Hans has been checking a lot on the safety of other riders after they have fallen usually when he has knocked them off!!!
Subedei
Yes, Hans has been checking a lot on the safety of other riders after they have fallen usually when he has knocked them off!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There seems to have been quite a few posts about young Nicholls knocking riders off recently - most notably, I guess, Janusz Kolodziej. Andersen does throw his weight around, but don't be blind to the fact that Nicholls does also.
Subedei
He seems a decent enough sized chap to me, but he does have a considerable weight of speedway ability as well.
scotty2hotty
Hans is a very exciting rider but to be honest he frightens me. Tonight at Ipswich he was beaten on a couple of occasions by Loram and Miskowiak, but as I said he frightens me, his 'do or die' attitude can quite often be dangerous. I really do feel that a lot of riders are a bit scared of him because quite often he is unpredictable. reminds me a lot of Nicki Pedersen a couple of years ago.
