Hazzman
The E-Liga regular season in Poland comes to a mighty climax on Sunday. With the battle for the play-offs places very competitive, only Sparta Wroclaw with their super side have managed to gain a place in the top four. Anyone as low as 7th could gain a place in the Top 4 Championship with Rynbik all but relegated. On the downside for one team it means possible play-offs could be relegation worries within three weeks. This is the current outlook on the standings 1. Wroclaw 28 +163 2. Czectochowa 19 +50 3. Rzeszow 16 +19 4. Leszno 16 +19 5. Tarnow 16 -72 6. Bydgoszcz 16 +59 7. Torun 13 +8 8. Rynbik 2 -246 Fixtures Bydgoszcz v Wroclaw Czestochowa V Rzeszow Tarnow V Leszno Torun V Rynbik Interesting fixtures and interesting times lie ahead on Sunday. Subedei
With a 10 team Ekstraliga in the pipeline, I don't see Rybnik being relegated. Unia Tarnow would, of course, have been in a better position if Lukas Dryml and Jacek Gollob hadn't left Leszno's stadium early and lost their points in the first fixture of the season - I think they'll make the top 4, but they seem to be in crisis at the minute. HenryW
One of this summer's rare days I really wish I was in Poland... GO POLONIA!!! Looks a tough one for Polonia. Do you think that they can do it, Matt? I guess the fitness of both PePe and Jason could be key to this result...
Mateusz
Don't care if they can - they must ! Being honest if we cannot win over Wroclaw at home we just don't deserve to be in the top four. Simple.
HenryW
Being honest if we cannot win over Wroclaw at home we just don't deserve to be in the top four. Simple. Seems a bit harsh on your boys there! Wroclaw have been pretty impressive this year and even if they are better than you, it surely doesn't mean you can't be second best! Have Czestochowa and Rzeszow not both lost at home to Wroclaw this season? Do they not deserve to be in the top 4 either?
Mateusz
I expected more from this team before the season and after some stupid losses of points (Bydgoszcz - Tarnow 44:46, Bydgoszcz - Czestochowa 45:45, Leszno - Bydgoszcz 49:41) they have to prove this Sunday they're still able to fight for the medals. What I meant is also that so far we've not had any serious, long injuries of many riders etc. Just a bit of bad luck in some heats of some meetings (especially at home against Tarnow). Anyway, when we lost usually lost because we were just (a bit) weaker. The match on Sunday will verify then if we actually are too weak to ride in the top four or good enough to join the fight for the medals. Wroclaw left their team building until late in the day, as did Czestochowa, and are able to field Andersen and Crump (Wroclaw) and Sullivan, Hancock and Richardson (Czestochowa). Bydgoszcz only really have Jonsson and the Russian junior Sajfutdinov.
