People do forgett about it when the brits are ridin dirty, when Lee cut up bjarne nothing was said, Scott and the lads clearly thought it was fine to dish it out, but could not take it when they wear being riden hard. They talk the talk but cant back it up on the track wear as the danes can. Used to like Scotty but my opinion of him is going down fast.

Why dont you ask Ian Thomas if he was assaulted by Scott Nicholls...surely if he was there would be a court case involved.....

Not the first time the idiot has smacked someone either is it? Didn't hear much about the outcome of that either. Wonder if he paid his way out of it before it went further.

I don't see why people should have to support GB just cos they're British! You're not gonna support a team where you're not really that keen on the riders that are in it, are you?

So if Poole signed Nicholls, Richardson, Harris, Stead, Louis and Loram you'd support another team? Maybe Eastbourne if they signed Hans Andersen, Puk and Charlie Gjedde to go with Nicki?!

Ian Thomas was assaulted by Nicholls and it was given wide publicity at the time.

I've no desire to rehash the episode. Suffice to say that Mr Thomas being the man he is contented himself with approaching Nicholls on the centregreen later in the meeting and suggested that he [Nicholls] might like to pick on a younger man next time.

Scott Nicholls,

Now isn't he the 'man' who assaulted Ian Thomas after he was excluded from a heat at Kirky Lane last season?

I can't say I have any respect for the views of a young 'man' who would assault a man in his sixties, even if he was under pressure at the time.  Nor have I had any respect for Nicholls as a person since that time.

Ron.

Quite right.

Nicholls certainly isn't troubled about throwing his not inconsiderable bulk around, whether on or off track, as the Thomas incident showed.

That can't be right surely - are you sure they're not all hiding their real identities Badge?! ;)

To set the record straight, just because an assault has been committed it doesn't necessarily mean that court action must follow. On the other side of the coin, the fact that no action was subsequently taken does not stop an incident being an assault, if it was one in the first place.

my point is that i like the fact scotty gives as good as he gets from the likes of hans and nicki pederson.these danes are quality riders at the top of their game and if we are to compete with them at all levels i just think you need some of scotts passion.why knock the best rider we have?

I think you're all missing the point... what they're trying to say is that Scott can be just as bad as Hans when he wants to be

The point everyone seems to miss is that Hans(I've used his name as you did) has never spoken to the press about any incident, unfortunately that is what Scott continues to do at every opportunity it seems. Also who is the one who pushes his weight around and throws punches when things don't go HIS way. Not the Danes certainly(and that explosive episode on Saturday night was straight after the event and verbal not physical before you say anything and forgotten about after the event as it should be).

No Scott needs to become dignified, he is a good rider but needs to think more about his own behaviour before he casts aspersions against others, and that Jaybea is my opinion on this matter, I know you disagree and thats your perogative, that's what makes forums interesting.

Ah I get where you're coming from now! And that is a really good point, Badge, cheers for that!
