shazzybird
Yet this end of the Country (Kent) glorious 28 degrees at the moment not a cloud in the cry after the major thunderstorm at 4am this morning Hope everyone that is attending tonight has a wonderful time, may the best team win (TEAM GB ) and my bud Tabby doesn't forget to text me the results as they happen because some stupid bloody relative decided to get married today, have even tried faking illness this morning to get out of it but no-one is falling for it
newbieoldboy
cloud bubbling up and the temp has dropped. I think its gonna rain ! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think we may have to hope for rain. If it looks like rain they won't water the track, if it dosn't then rain it could even be worse than Thursday
andy moore
Think we are going to have some rain -rather dark here in READING at present and thundering.
Joanne
Looking very thundery 20 odd miles away in High Wycombe. Better now that it rains than 5pm and it may be a bit cooler. When is the re-staging date if necessary?

spook
As I have posted on another thread there was never any intention to have the track any other way as watering only began shortly before the racing ...............it suited the Danes and the Brits to have the track the way it was ......I was amazed we had any passing at all Tonight will see just how high Speedway as a whole wants to aim for .......it is perhaps the biggest stage of the season, now that the world championship is spread over so many rounds, and the perfect opportunity to have four fairly equally matched teams have a ding dong battle..............i'm sure the trackmen have their work cut out with the changing conditions .....but im equally certain that it can be achieved

Squirelnutkins
Been raining quite abit in Guildford. Can anyone update us on weather?
Hackett
As for the track and rain ..... having seen what they did to that Swedish track a couple of years ago when they dumped hot shale on the track and 30 minutes later they had racetrack that was spot on ... I have no sympathy. Sorry but this is the pinnacle of the sport as a team event .. if BSI / FIM (I care not ) want the sport to appeal to the masses this is one major opportunity. I fear this has been all done on the cheap and we are likely to be cheated ... time will tell.
Racer X
Been raining quite abit in Guildford. Can anyone update us on weather? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At 2.00 it is still raining quite hard. We have had a torrential downpour which will have put a lot of water down into the track and should have done it a great deal of good. The track will easilly drain this but if some of the mositure is retained conditions ought to be greatly improved on Thursday this evening. I wouldn't say there was any question of a call off and this rain is good news for fans. Temps here have dropped from 28/29 down to 19 for the rain which should also help things. Racer X
Light rain now at 3.00 but that's a significant amount of rain down in the last two hours and it's still raining....
Bee 26
If it was called off, when would they re-run it?
Bud White
Don't know about a re-stage date but on speedwayworld they are saying no rain forecast after this afternoon and it's definately ok to go ahead.
