Trees
Typical response from the British fans I suppose given the circumstances. Did it bother them...... did it hell!! Question for you SS, if Chris Mills was in the GB team who would you support then
thrillpool
WOOHOO GREAT MEETING! WELL DONE DENMARK! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm starting a fund to send the British Denmark groupies out to Denmark to live for ever and ever. They were quite obviously born in the wrong country therefore it's only fair if we, the speedway family, do the decent thing and send them over to where they feel they belong. They will be housed in a secure unit in Copenhagen and given all the help they need. Please give generously to this excellent cause and let these girls live happily ever after in the land of fit speedway riders. I'll start the fund off by donating £100 today and another £100 when I get paid next week.
Hackett
Congratulations to Denmark over the course of the meeting they deserved the victory !! Their team strength was greater than opposition. DENMARK - Nikki P and Hans Andersen were dominant and forceful. Bjarne and Gjedde picked up points and good support. NKI a SGP rider and the poss weak link picked up the victory when the chips were down. SWEDEN - Seemed to struggle especially PK and Max yet still claimed silver. AJ was quick and rode well. Lindback seems to be heading in the right way and claimed a couple of deent wins. Lindgren did ok without pulling up any trees. AUSTRALIA - Crump was excellent again and just his will to win cost him and the Aussies. Sullivan and Adams seemed to struggle. Expected Adams to be dominant on an EL track but he was someway off top form. Wiltshire did wel to come back after the crash in heat 2 !! Mcgowan think the occasion was too much for him TEAM GB - Nicholls showed he can mix it with the best but needs to get his gating sorted. Excellent performance and lead from the front. Loram , Louis , Harris gave there all but none of them could gate and missed out. Richardson like his season was inconsistent. As for the facilities absolutely dire ... putting a burger van in and 5 portaloos does not warrant rubbishemead as a SWC venue FACT
Steve Turner
Quality performance from referee Milan Spinka last night... Not interested in the World Cup to be honest, but watched most of the meeting last night in a pub. May have missed the odd race, but the two major decisions I saw that he had to make - Andersen/Harris and McGowan/Lindback - he got both spot-on. Hans went steaming-in with no care for what happened to his opponent, so he deserved to be excluded, despite there being no contact between the two. As for Travis - what exactly caused him too jump off ?! - certainly not Lindback, so another good call. Pleased Denmark won, because they are by far the best nation in the sport. Even with Jesper missing. Of the losers... Sweden came back well for 2nd, thanks mainly to AJ's love of Smallmead obviously. GB did okay for 3rd, despite Chris Louis's embarrassing performance after his words regarding not being picked previously Australia lost out bigtime thanks to Crumpy's desperate move, but you can't blame him for trying. Well I can't anyway. Track had so little grip on the outside that the racing was poor, but the incidents and scoreline kept the general interest high, so it made for good TV.
