spook
Thought it was a good meeting but a little sore about the end result as Crump should most certainly been excluded after taking out Reima in their first ride......weak decision from the ref and one of a few key moments during the night saying that though the Aussies are back and the SWC is as good as ever
T.N.T.
can someone tell me why Poland were given second place and not England
Squirelnutkins
Well Done to Australia for getting through to the SWC Final They did very well! Toddys crash looked awful, so did Tomi Rema's as well! I really feel sorry for Finland! Don't you think that there should be more competiting teams in the SWC? (Russia?) C'mon, Finland were without Joonas, who i think would have played a vital part in there team! and jason said,we ve travis,4 sat. so how ill was kolodziej ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes Beercellar, thought they would use Travis (if/when) they got into the Final as Travis will know the track very well! Good question, how ill was Kolodziej really?

Lis
What a cracker it was! The meeting had it all, drama, crashes and some very enjoyful racing. Bring on tuesday! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agree, now the Danes have to win on tuesday ,don't fancy a race of thursday with gb and poland and sweden
shazzybird
so if Mrs Boyce decides to give birth on the day of the final, Wato may just have to manage the Aussie team! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mrs Boyce wouldn't dare Pearson makes me laugh. He seems to get so excited! Some of his comments are so funny its unreal. He shouts some s**t but much prefer him to Millard the Dullard. Tatum seems to be getting much better on sky and much better in the box than Louis!!!! Keep the team the same, or maybe, just maybe, replace Steady with Norris.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How funny is he, talk about passionate and talking without thinking. Kelvin Tatum you numpty!!!! I've been educating my neighbour on speedway and telling them how there's no brakes and no gears and you shout out "whooaaaaaaaa he had to apply the front brake then"! How the hell could I explain that one! One thing I was impressed with was the pronounciation of Loram, educated at last

Excellent meeting, excellent Team GB, good all round performance from the Sky team espessially the lovely (if somewhat chilly at times ) Sophie
Sir Jasper
excellent meeting , exce;;ent performance from the boys. Bomber and Nicholls (it is great having a couple of your team riding for your country) looked good as did the other brits, Schien looked a little out of his depth. If we ride like that on Thursday we should be ok.
clunsey
I can only agree with everyone else, what a meeting!
ruckerroo
Credit to GB,i didnt give them any chance. Middlo knows the form book,if he reads it correctly there is NO CHANCE of stead riding on thursday,he is mediocre round reading to say the least. Nobody's fault. Should have been all 4 again but as it was entering the straight it wasn't considered to be first bend bunching. Unfortunate but an accident. newbieoldboy
If Middlo reads the thread then remember the next two meeting are in Britain, so we should prepare the track for our team. If you had to describe Loram, Nicholls, Harris and Stead then you would say they were racers. Forget what Olsen wants for the Danes, we’re running it so we decide. Come you Brits! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unfortunatley Its a FIM meeting run by BSI not a BSPA one so what Olsen says go's Edited July 17, 2006 by newbieoldboy
newbieoldboy
How about Louis instead? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only Brit who has looked better than Chris Louis around Smallmead this year is Mark Loram. Neck out time: Chris in a cert place in the final Simon in ?
keepturningleft
Fantastic meeting! I think Nigel Pearson deserves credit for his mentions and nods to the wider world of speedway and some of the issues eg Swindon. Getting more and more enraged about the Joker. Poland were clearly and consistently the third best team all night. The idea that they could have won because of a single ride by their star man is so outrageously unfair, I can barley find the words... newbieoldboy
What annoys me about the rules is the no reserve. If a team lose a rider in there 1st or 2nd race. Game over
Silver Bee
Obviously dissapointed for Rory. He looked really nervous at the start - His first cap for his Country - always a scary proposition. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the same way that it was Bomber and Steadys last year? barrow boy
Yes it was a tremendous meeting. Only a Fin might think otherwise but seriously I do truly feel that all teams should be allowed the opportunity to use their joker. Poland could have won this by being the only one of those in contention to gain 3 extra points which I feel is unfair on the others. By all means let it be used to, as John P of BSI keeps telling me, to keep the racing interesting, but teams not having been allowed to use it should in the last race. Racing will still be interesting but the result will at least be fairer. I don't think it would have mattered last night but it might have done.
