Undercover Elephant
Reading..... Do you have to purchase tickets for the Race Off and Final in advance or can you buy them on the night?
pirate paul
I'm not buying a ticket in advance as in all honesty I can't see GB reaching the final. If we do then I will go, but obviously it will mean paying on the night. I imagine a lot of people are doing the same so I hope they do sell them on the night and not shoot themselves in the foot. I'll probaby go to the race-off on Thursday anyway and by the end of that we'll know the line up. Surely they'll be selling tickets to the Final on the night of the race-off? 21st century heathen
I'm thinking about going down for the first time, but I haven't decided for sure yet. If there's no 'on the night' sales then I'm afraid the decision is made for me.
SCB
I'm thinking about going down for the first time, but I haven't decided for sure yet. If there's no 'on the night' sales then I'm afraid the decision is made for me. Same here. If Team GB make it and have put up a good fight in the First meeting and//or the Race Off I was considering the trip down the M4. I got tickets on the day for the Swindon round last year so can't see it being any different, when was the last speedway meeting to take place where you could not pay on the day? Unless they reach full capacity they'll be letting people in on the day if they want to get in! Edited July 15, 2006 by SCB
Chivs
Does anyone know the capacity though SCB. It could be dramatically reduced meaning tickets only. At the start of the year i;m sure I read somewhere the plan was for temporary seating on the back straight - well as far as I am aware the old stand is still there. Can anyone confirm? Billy Bulldog
The talk on the terraces at last monday's home meeting was that BSi have been told they have a capacity of 3000 for both the race off and final. Just goes to show how right they were to take the two meetings to Reading in the first place. BSi will either ignore the capacity limit and pack everyone in like sardines so you can't see anything, or take notice of it and turn 100s or 1000s away at the gates. I think i'll be watching the events unfold on Sky, i would advise others to do the same.
Sandie
Interesting - as I have said on another thread -my ticket says 3930!!!!
Silver Bee
Sandie, I should imagine they have put 2500 or 3000 tickets on sale from the track shop (from numbers 1-3000 as mine was number 1 for the race-off), if you ordered yours online I should assume you have numbers from there onwards.
