shalefan
Middlo has to be ruthless now and I'n afraid drop Steady for Chris Louis, whilst it's easy to say Steady has not ridden a last, in last nights meeting there was never a hint he would finish first either. The right thing for Team GB, giving them a chance would to bring in Louis. MIDDLO DO IT!
Seb the Snail
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, if the tactical had worked nothing would of been said. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are right, of course. It is very easy to be critical after the event. On balance, however, there is no doubt that Heat 20 was far easier for GB on paper than Heat 19. Hancock and Gjedde are a far different proposition around Reading than Correy and Iversen. Fortunately it didn’t matter a jot. Britain and Denmark were in total command of the meeting from the moment that the first round of rides had been completed and there was no benefit from finishing first or second on the night. Qualification for Saturday was everything. Hopefully Middlo will be more astute tomorrow – we need everything in our favour if we are going to have a glimmer of a hope of getting our hands on the silverware. DonsFanSW
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, if the tactical had worked nothing would of been said. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â How many of us knew it was a mistake as soon Middlo said that Lee was going to be using the joker? He was always going to struggle to win that heat - especially against Greg. It was clear (to me anyway) that Scott in heat 20 was going to be the better option. Â People can say that it doesn't matter because we got through to the final. And they would be right. But if the same situation occurs on Saturday, it could cost us dearly. Â I thought it was pretty daft to take Stead out of races as well, when he needs the track time to get ready for the final. Â Having said that, I think Chris Louis coming in for Stead would be a good decision. But I am not the manager, and I will get behind whoever is wearing the GB strip!! shazzybird
I'll bet my house that Mr Louis is in Saturdays squad  Can't blame Sir Middlo for this one if we lose, you all whinged enough to get him there if the jobs not done it's all down to popular demand of the fans not the manager, so Vega your neck on the block this time!!!!! None of this bull it's all down to the team all you've been saying is it's down to the manager, well now the manager has done what you wanted (although I think it was probably already decided)
Vincent Vega
See Shazzy other people are questioning Middlos tactics now and you aint getting stroppy with them  Middlo  I hope you read this good luck on saturday if you have brought Loobie into the side it is a good move. I really really hope you and the team win the world cup dont forget it is just my personal opinion that someone else should have a chance as team GB manager as we have not won the world cup during your time in charge.  Lets just agree to disagree OK. Once again all the best for saturday lets forget the banter and the whole country cheer on the boys whoever is in charge.  VV
shazzybird
You've slagged him off at every opportunity, he might be TEAM GB manager he might also be Poole manager but he's still my friend!  Whatever decision he makes regarding the team selection (and YES, CHRIS LOUIS HAS BEEN NAMED FOR SATURDAY) I'll be behind TEAM GB 110% win or lose at least we can say we were at the Final which is more than some can say  As far as Middlo carrying on as TEAM GB manager, the amount of slating he's had just from you, if I were him I'd resign. Let someone else take the flack, he has dedication to the sport he doesn't deserve the amount of abuse he gets from you Vega!
Vincent Vega
There is your error my friend go and have it surgically removed!!! You said at least we got to the final and you seemed happy with that. I aint we should be looking to win the thing!!! I dont understand why you lot are happy with a mediocre Team GB side that doesnt win anything!!!! But as I said earlier good luck to you all if you are. willp
I don't think middlo should have the boot, look the chap has only done the best job he can with the riders that are available. Â Over the last couple of years we have had some bad luck with injuries. Â Personally, i would bring in chris louis for steady for the final. Â We cannot win the world cup with 4 riders so i think chris has to come in. Â Steady is a good young rider but he has plenty of time on his side and he will get more chances in the future. Â Also, we need to start making some starts and a bit of grip on the track tomorrow would be nice!!! Â Whoever rides i will support team gb. Come on TEAM GB!!!
