Jammys
Does anyone know where in Australia Leigh Adams Originates from? I would love to know, I feel it would greatly assist me when watching him ride!!

Jammys
Can I ask a daft question here ...... Why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry just my sense of humour.. I was referring to the constant reminder from the Sky Sports commentator Tony Millard about Leigh Adams, keeps telling us hes the man from Mildura, Wherever that is? He must have said it in every one of Leigh Adams' races on Saturday night! There is a thread on hear somewhere as Colin says (above) about this.. It just grates me now everytime he says it. Yes there are far more important things to worry about in speedway i know but Aaaaaaaaggggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!
Hackett
I got no problem with Hans Andersen .... He is riding out of his skin at the moment. I think that he can be overly aggresive on the track but every sport has a good guy and a bad guy. It is often portrayed that rider are thus because it sells tickets !!!!!!!!! Previously in speedway it used to be Gollob around the time of the Boyce incident so much so that Sky tried to mention nicknames in commetary and say Gollob rather than Tomasz Gollob as it sounded more sinister ... Crump had it for a while as he was so commited to win and would get frustrated in the pits throwing gloves etc . Nikki Pedersen got mantle passed on to him and now that he "seems" to have calmed down on track it has been passed onto Hans for the moment. Sky Sports always promotes the Brits and is crying out for a Brit winner and Scotty has been the pin up boy of British speedway for a while now ... simply because following Loram dropping from the SGP series, Scotty is the best Brit by a back straight and is portrayed as the good guy. Any rider in the SGP series has to be mentally and physically strong to win a SGP ... I dont care two hoots about riders feuds and obviously there is bad feeling between Scott and Hans from the SWC in 2004 and Ipswich days ... let it carry on it creates a great story and hopefully will create fantastic racing now and into the future. ... barrow boy
So, after the Lonigo dust has settled we have only one of last year's invited riders in this year's top 8 in Scott Nicholls who has merely taken the place of the retiring Tony Rickardsson which means that all of the other non automatic requalifying places are filled by riders that were given a lifeline or were chosen for political and financial reasons. As a result of Saturday, Scott is actually in joint 6th place with AJ. Bjarne Pedersen is one point behind them both in 8th. Agreed about the rest though

I would love to know, I feel it would greatly assist me when watching him ride!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and it is really bugging me but ive been trying to work out Leigh's riding style on the bike and what it looks like he is doing............I feel that we should be told about this 6 times a GP as well Err, no. As a result of Saturday, Scott is actually in joint 6th place with AJ. Bjarne Pedersen is one point behind them both in 8th. Agreed about the rest though thx you saved me the trouble To take things further though Barrow Boy if you look at the points standings and the riders involved, as I have posted elsewhere, it is becoming plainly obvious that the top 11 are safe for next season.....there are no obvious candidates for the sack if they finish outside of the top 8 ........unless of course they have annoyed anyone backstage 'Hans style'

What I meant was that of those non automatic qualifiers only Scott Nicholls had gone into the top 8 this year but that someone had to as a result of Tony R being in swan song mode. I think we are of the same mind on this.
Seb the Snail
Just back from Italy... I can see that the meeting has been analysed in great detail here already, and so will just add a couple of brief comments... Great circuit for racing, although slightly disappointing that the stands were far from full. This must surely place the future of GPs being staged in Italy in some jeopardy? Amazement (and relief) in most quarters at the exclusion of Zagar in the semi final. Scott certainly looked the "primary cause of the stoppage" from my vantage point! Credit to Leigh for finally making a final for the first time since Lonigo last year! Just a shame that he couldn't make the gate from 4 in the final; maybe 2 would have been a better option? At least he has a squeak of another rostrum finish if he can make some more finals between now and the rest of the season. Superb stuff from Scotty. Will he be our sole representative in the GP next year? And finally, roll on 2007 as this year's series has been over for weeks. Crump v Andersen meeting on meeting looks a mouth-watering prospect! DanTheMan
i thought the crowd looked quite good for italy. it would be a great shame if it was dropped, the track is excellent
ha en bra födelsedag
The racing was great this year...and the track was really good...i still have bits of it on my tshirt!
