Hazzman
In a dummy run, I have just done on Speedway Meeting with British and Polish averages combined. Hans Andersen Piotr Protasiewicz and.......Chris Harris qualified for the 2007 GP Series. Karlsson had two retirements however.

T.N.T.
SCOTT NICHOLLS England must have one rider in the Series and from what I have been told, Nicholls has been allocated a place already. Should another Brit qualify then fine, but cant see it although it would be good to see Steady around the Polish tracks. From the final line-up, it would be an injustice if Hans Andersen and Peter Karlsson didnt go through as both are in great form and exciting to watch. Hans however could finish rock bottom as I'm sure he wil be in the 2007 Series somehow anyway.
spook
So, the above quote from Nicholls was just balderdash? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no but would it be fair to say that you have a vested interest in ridiculously taking him at his word? Your negative posts on Scott haven't passed me by as i'm sure they haven't for others give the guy a break Subedei....i'm sure we would all like him to be fulfilling his potential or even if you don't feel he has any more, reaching finals and easily making the top 8 but...........I may be wrong here, but is it not the case that only two riders have made more semi finals than him? Regardless of what he said in one interview I think the man would deserve a wild card with the current system as it happens I think the whole system is still wrong...............The qualifying rounds should be more extensive...more GP positions on offer....more riders should be included and not on a nomination basis only either.........this would also encourage the majority of the GP field to take part instead of sitting back comfortably
Subedei
He could've entered the qualifying rounds, couldn't he? Or are they beneath his princely status? By not entering the GP qualifiers and through his serial failure he's absolutely right to say that if he doesn't qualify by right, he's no business being there. Leliwa
Some remarks on the Tarnow semifinal. Track was different to what we have at the league matches here in Tarnow, hardly any passing and the ‘orbit’ did not hold much, only at the very end we could see some good riding on the outside. Why is it that when it comes to GP, GP qualifiers there is always an issue with the track condition? Now to the riders. Hans, a class act, would be perfect if it wasn’t for his fall. In that heat he leads with good 30 meters, should ride smartly and easy. Instead in the third round he got way too close to the fence and we were all surprised, and in the fourth round when he entered the turn we knew he would not make it. Strange, such experience rider should not make this happened. And there were no holes there, the track was smooth all around. Janusz Kolodziej struggled all night long. He still felt banged up after his fall in GB last week. To make it worst his best engine for Tarnow track gave up in his first run so he was riding on his reserve bike not as good as his top one. Only because of his extraordinary skills and knowledge of the home track he was able to get through. Lukas Dryml, such bad luck. We were witnessing a real metamorphose of Lukas on the Tarnow track. So far he was struggling big time here, and before the meeting we did not give him much chance. Seeing him ride I thought he finaly found the set up for Tarnow track. Only later we learned that Lukas was riding on Stanislaw Burza’s engine and had help of Burza’s mechanic in the pits. But I hope he now knows what is needed for this track. Rory, nice kid. My friends and I, we really liked his riding, too bad he did not make it. I can see him being one of the top riders in near future. I would like to see him more in Tarnow. Good riding from Jagus and Holta. Surprising Laukkanen got a lot of applause for his riding as well as Russian guys Gafurov and Gizatulin. Overall it was a good night with lots of, lots of speedway. Or are they beneath his princely status? By not entering the GP qualifiers and through his serial failure he's absolutely right to say that if he doesn't qualify by right, he's no business being there. I really do understand what you are saying Subedei......no rider should be able to sit back in a comfort zone unless maybe they are top 3 or top 5......and even then.......I guess the problem lies with the way the GP system is setup and that it is safe to say that the top rider from UK, Poland and Sweden are safer than safe in receiving a wild card I'm still thinking that your negative feelings about Scott are colouring your views on this.........you feel he should be held to one thing he said in one interview?? and if it is about 'serial failure' then we would have a very small GP field wouldn't we?! Can I ask you what Leigh Adams was doing at Scott's age? Lets hope Scott continues the relatively good GP form and is rewarded with some points for his efforts ....this would hopefully allow another Brit in the back door .......now who do we reckon that would be? Turns out Rune Holta, Simon Stead and Janusz Kolodziej qualified, with Matej Ferjan, Wieslaw Jagus and Martin Smolinski just missing out. Hans Andersen finished last with just 1 point! Must have been his injury. Edited July 11, 2006 by DartfordHammer
