pantherslair Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 We are going to Copenhagen on Friday but will not be returning until Monday because we would like to pop and see Slagerupp ( probably not spelt right) on the Sunday but we are not sure how to get there. I'am mailing with Lee White from Australia who is in the same situation as you, but there is not a lot we can do about the transport time as long as it is only a few ? people. I know Travel Plus Tours are bringing 35 guests to Slangerup, I will try to email them to see if they have spare seats for sale on their bus, and let you know on here. See you Peter S. We think it is a good tradition to do the "after parken" meeting but this years trouble with finding riders who can/wants to ride,may make us change this date. That said, we are very pleased that Chris Harris will ride for us and hope it will also please some of our foreign guests in some way. Jesper B. Jensen would have been in our team if it wasn't for his injury. If you and/or any other listees are in Slangerup, please come to the sponsor tent and ask for Peter, i´l buy you a beer. I heartily recommend this fixture and the promotion and club who deserve a massive crowd for the their faith in running a good local fixture. iris123 Posted June 23, 2006 Report Share Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) I agree with the sentiment that Slangerup get a bumper crowd.Just a pity that Danish fans get very few chances to see their own top riders.Still,evryone will get a chance to see Leon Madsen,Patrick Hougaard and Jonas Raun on home territory. Very nice offer Peter,unfortunately i won't be going.Not a big fan of GP's(only been to 2 Individual World Finals and 2 GP's in about 40 years of watching speedway),but was thinking of coming up for the Slangerup meeting.Decided a while back not to though.Nothing to do with the line-up.Will be (weather permitting) in Outrup next friday for the Danish Final and might possibly go to Holsted wednesday for what was advertised as a meeting between Holsted-Güstrow-Leszno.Will wait for the line-up first though.
