Reviresco
Gotta agree there macca, thought the start line girls were best this year, particularly the yellow one who kept kissing into the camera, and the one in red , how long was her hair???? ps ...........whats happened to sophie???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A good enough reason, imo, to have another Latvian GP, especially if the Championship is already decided and you can concentrate on the sites. Maybe our Soph got tied up by the start line girls and left in a corner somewhere, just in case she started providing some opposition......? fatface
Went to the GP on Saturday...enjoyed it...but doubt I'll ever go back. The actual track/stadium wasn't bad...racing could have been better...but could certainly have been worse too. The big problem was the town. It was miles away from Riga, difficult to get to and not a particularly lively place to be on arrival. Then again, I also got nabbed for speeding by those ever-so-smiley local police. 70k per hour limit!!! Maybe that's the real reason for Lee Richardson's poor showing. We all agreed on Poland for our trip next year.
hooligans
So bad track condition was unusual for Daugavpils. Local fans were very angry, because during friday practice track was better than on saturday race. But Ole Olsen ordered to prepare "the asphalt"! P.S. Sorry for my English. We all agreed on Poland for our trip next year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll go back, only £3-50 for a very comfy coach ride from riga, friendly people, lovely girls, footy in the afternoon before the meeting and very very cheap food and drink, only disappointment was seeing the locals outside unable to afford the entrance fee, would certainly have been a full house if they had sold cheaper tickets to locals. And to complete a great weekend i got upgraded to business class on way home, while the coventry lads, boggle and mr lindback were slumming it in the cattle truck. vagels
We have good enough track in Daugavpils. But on Saturday there was rain forecast therefore a track have rolled up as asphalt. P.S. Sorry for my English:)

sirmatty
So, BSI have carried out their promise of presenting GP meetings in top class stadia, in big cities and on well prepared tracks.........? On the other hand I suppose the riders should be able to ride on all sorts of tracks and surfaces, including flat, unbanked, slick affairs like the one on offer tonight. I guess that's why we have a GP series rather than a one off final these days? Must say, the totty was top class tonight though. Not just at the tapes either. How much is a return weekend ticket to Latvia? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> were even better in the flesh!!! missed out on a foto with the start tarts (dam)

Addy
Got back yesterday after 4 hrs on the train and 50 minutes on the plane. How I wish it could have been the other way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My mates said it took four and a half hours on the train back to Riga - and the description sounded dire, lots of BO and overcrowding. But Riga, itself, sounded nice ...
f-s-p
40p a pint bargin!!!even managed to leave a bigger tip in 1 bar when buying 5 beers great weekend <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't bother to ever check, felt like a millionaire, but my brother said that the prices varied for the pint as the evening went on... Dont care... My mates said it took four and a half hours on the train back to Riga - and the description sounded dire, lots of BO and overcrowding. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 13.07-16.50, on the dot I'll give them that. Had some butterflies in my stomach because if there would have been any delays over 30min we would have most likely missed our flight. And on a 4 hour train trip here in Finland our cars and engine's are 30 years younger and over 30 minutes late usually.
Paragon
We drove back to Riga, took about 3 hours & no BO. Mind you there were 6 speedtraps within 30 miles out of Daugavpils, makes the speed cameras at home seem not so bad.
Pantherman
Met a lot of people, sorry to miss ballinger. Had a great party at the Latgola on friday night with a swedish group and a couple supporting Peterborough. We were at this select party, and have to agree it was good one that didn't end until 4.30ish in the morning. We will be going back to the Latvian GP next year, and we are available for party bookings

Triple.H.
Had a great time Rickshaw racing in Riga on sunday night, but i suspect the riders regret saying yes to our request to take 3 passengers on one and 2 on the other, they were knackered by the time we got back to the hotel.
