Trees
Congratulations to him, a fantastic gate in the rerun, kept out of the ruts, thoroughly deserved champ of Cardiff

Subedei
Just got home, what can I say but absolutely bl**d* fantastic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Was there a minutes silence for Lukasz Romanek? I don't believe he was even mentioned on Sky.
philcrumpisgod
Subedei, I got into the stadium part way through Bonny Tyler's set and stayed until the end of the pyrotechnics. There was no minute's silence for the lad.
Subedei
I'm sorry, but I think that's just shameful.
Pinstripe
Wondered the same myself. Was a shame to see Puk struggle until he produced a stunning last ride. Great day tho I stayed off the booze after friday night!
DanTheMan
Yep, he took his good luck with both hands and swiftly manouvered it away from his competitors (he deserved some after last year). some entertaining races, some strange decisions by the ref (again), Simon showed he can mix it with the best on the biggest stage, but needs a bit more yet. GoTigers
Was a shame to see Puk struggle until he produced a stunning last ride. He would have had another great heat if Nicki hadn't crashed in the first bend of heat 4. He made a great start and was leading ahead of Crump when Nicki crashed. But that's how it goes and he's still learning. As far as I remember he has done pretty well as a wild card in Parken in the past, hopefully he can do well there in 3 weeks. I know I'll be cheering for him, along with a lot of other Danes and Holsted fans. Did anybody else think the track was horrible last night? After having the first 3 GPs on regular speedway tracks it was really obvious to see the big difference when racing on a one-off track. I think there were more crashes last night than in the first 3 combined and it looked downright dangerous at times. Hampel's crash in heat 11 where his front wheel just lifted and the bike took off could have gone a lot worse, Nicki just barely managed to avoid hitting him. I don't believe he was even mentioned on Sky. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They mentioned it briefly on Danish television and explained that it was the reason why all the Polish riders were wearing a black rim around their arms.
