Last heat clash with Jonsson,saw them both go into the fence and Jonsson excluded.Misses today,Tomorrow and the eastbourne meeting,but don't think it is anything serious

Easy double victory to start off the evening, riders streched out on a straight at the end.

Zetterström passed Jonasson on lap one but team mate Schlein slowed down on lap two and Ruud passed him, then on the following lap Schlein packed up completely while on a 3-3.

 

3 [66.2]: Ferjan, Hampel, Jedrzejak, Okoniewski. 3-3, 12-6.

Hampel gated but Ferjan swooped Hampel on bend four of the opening lap for the win. Jedrzejak a definite third ahead of Okoniewski.

 

4 [66.0]: Holta, Protasiewicz, Schlein, Ruud (Fx). 3-3, 15-9.

Ruud fell while third on a 4-2 but Holta gated once again in the re-run to save a tied heat.

 

5 [66.3]: Ljung, Okoniewski, Zetterström, Jonasson. 3-3, 18-12.

Ljung passed Okoniewski on the opening lap, after that all riders found their positions for an undramatic event.

 

6 [66.3]: Hampel, Gustafsson, Jedrzejak, Laukkanen. 4-2, 22-14.

Excellent heat even though there where no passes, you could throw a blanket of the top three and Gustafsson was so close to passing Hampel on the final lap but just couldn´t make it. Laukkanen never in it.

 

7 [65.3]: Ljung, Richardson, Okoniewski, Ferjan. 5-1, 27-15.

Good gate by Okoniewski on the inside but Ljung passed him on the outside of bend two. Richardson followed Ljung´s example and passed Okoniewski on the outside as well, on bend four of the opening lap. Ferjan surprisingly way off in this one.

 

8 [66.5]: Hampel, Jedrzejak, Protasiewicz, Schlein. 5-1, 32-16.

Home pair by miles.

 

9 [65.9]: Ruud, Holta, Gustafsson, Laukkanen. 5-1, 37-17.

Easy victory for Ruud while Holta tucked in behind him to keep an eye on Gustafsson for a paid win.

 

10 [66.6]: Richardson, Zetterström, Protasiewicz, Jonasson. 3-3, 40-20.

Zetterström made a good gate and tried to block Richardson from the outside on bends one/two but Richardson was persistent and continued around Zetterström for the win. Jonasson not really close in this one.

 

11 [66.2]: Ruud, Zetterström, Schlein, Jonasson (Ef). 3-3, 43-23.

Not much drama, but Jonasson had an engine failure while last on the second lap.

 

12 [66.5]: Holta, Ferjan, Jedrzejak, Laukkanen. 4-2, 47-25.

Holta by a country mile but behind him, Ferjan passed Jedrzejak for the split of the home pair.

 

13 [67.0]: Hampel, Ljung, Gustafsson, Okoniewski. 5-1, 52-26.

Ljung gated, trapped Gustafsson on the inside line so Hampel could blast around the entire field on the opening bends for another 5-1.

 

14 [66.9]: Holta, Richardson, Ferjan, Protasiewicz ®. 5-1, 57-27.

Another gating lesson from the home pair. Protasiewicz gave up on lap three.

 

15 [66.5]: Richardson, Protasiewicz, Ljung, Zetterström. 4-2, 61-29.

A different Protasiewicz showed up for this as he showed some fighting spirit as he passed Ljung on the opening lap to deny him of his maximum, but Richardson was long gone. "Zorro" not close behind to Ljung in the later stages but not really close enough for a pass.

 

16 [66.9]: Holta, Ferjan, Hampel, Schlein (Ef). 4-2, 65-31.

Schlein had en engine failure while fourth on the second lap while his team mate showed he was the best away rider by keeping a fighting Hampel at the back.

 

Dreadful weather during the entire day couldn´t stop VMS Elit from securing a crushing 65-31 win infront of the home crowd. The rain stopped twenty minutes before the start which was eventually delayed due to track work, a track which turned out to be very good after some new material had been put on. Unfortunately it wasn´t particulary interesting as the home side simply outclassed Indianerna today.

 

For VMS Elit,

Richardson looked ultra fast. Ljung likewise but was probably caught napping in his final heat when Pepe came from nowhere. Hampel was good. Jedrzejak, the stylish Pole, did a steady job as a second string. Holta was untouchable, simple as that. Ruud gated well and fell while chasing for another one in heat fourth, good enough anyway. Jonasson started well and mixed it to some degree with the opposition reserves, but faded.

 

For Indianerna,

Gustafsson looked fast and tried hard for his points, worth more. Laukkanen had his worst ever meeting in Vetlanda, never close to a single point really, such a shame as he can be really good around the track. Ferjan was the pick of Indianerna, despite his blimp in his second. Okoniewski didn´t do much in the main body. Protasiewicz didn´t look interested until his final heat in which he showed some fighting spirit but a paid seven is not good enough. Zetterström beat Jonasson four times but rode well against the others and was actually worth his paid eight in the end. Schlein was unlucky in his first (gremlins while leading) and didn´t recover (on his spare bike?).
