Chris
Oh well then Steve blame and have another go at Rye House. Your hypocrisy is laughable saying that I slag off a club! More pot, kettle, black. See your favourite rider has got a call up to the GP. Oh well
Shortcrust
See your favourite rider has got a call up to the GP. Oh well <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now that will be worth watching.... well it would be if he was guaranteed a ride.
The Third Man
your favouite rider ben wilson then?
The Third Man
on a more serious note, for john cook to say lewis bridger does not need matches at U21 is a farce, he needs the practice on big tracks if he is to progress to GP quality. his display in the U21 at sheffield shows this. british riders will get nowhere in the Gp until they can ride the bigger tracks as well as the small ones, this is an ideal opportunity to get some practice. so well for going back in, but is it with the same riders? stevehone
Chris, look at this ... but i couldn't give a monkeys really who did it, it's about British speedway and making sure WE ALL have a future, not just your favourite club<{POST_SNAPBACK}> i said what i said as a reminder to you about how it started, hoped you might think about it ... spose i was wrong. never mind ... i'll play the game as long as you want
greyhoundp
Glad to see that it may be back on;Our young riders need to gain Track experience abroad, find out where they are in comparison to the young Danes,Swedes,Poles etc in much the same way that the USA Dream Team do when they come over here. Sandie
Yep your team Kings Lynn are the benchmark for giving our young Brits team places. How many foreigners in that team now? 6 is it? Pot, kettle, black old son. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I cannot believe I am saying this but since when did SteveHone become promoter and select the riders. Amazingly he is not on my banned list and reading a few of his posts he most certainly puts BRITISH speedway near the top of his priority list - whatever club they ride for. okay off for a very large G & T now I have posted that!!! stevehone
after saying all that, i still think Richardson and to a lesser extent Nicholls, are NOT good enough for the GP, thats why we have to be looking to the future now ... all Nicholls goes on about is making the semi finals!!! why?? he will still only finish on his 7 or 8 ... Scott, if you read this, WANT TO MAKE A FINAL and WIN Richardson ... sorry, rather see Stead in his place, and i don't think it's too far away. LR is just not good enough for the GP circus. if it wasn't for internal politics, GB would have no representatives in the GP next year ... just how sad is that. Dekker
Given the state of british talent its not sad at all, just merely reflective of the systems we have in place and peoples attitudes.
amos
Well BSPA the boots on the other foot now. Hard to make a decision when finance comes over heart is it not. Now let’s see, do we send the youngsters abroad for their benefit or do we make them ride their domestic fixtures to keep the promoters (sorry financiers) happy. Well next time you say Chris Neath has no ambition think twice because some times finance has to come before heart. Common denominator here ELITE LEAGUE, PROMOTERS, MONEY all adds up to bspa. Bugger the benefit to the boys. Why else didn’t we compete in the European U18 championships? Because it might effect the domestic fixtures. Oh and while we are on this subject if one of the youngsters does not toe the line and do as we say (bspa) lets ban him from appearing in the elite league for 2 years and bring in an over seas rider. That will really help our boy, spiritually and financially. Happy days Elnno
Midnight_Lady
Lawson struggles to get too meetings in this country, so getting to Germany would be even more of a problem. His commitment in getting to certain meetings over the past few seasons has been questionable so maybe mud has stuck. Perhaps Oakes wasn't happy about him missing the under-21 final either. What meetings would these be Chris? So he couldn't get to the U-21 final because of exams. Yes exams Chris. Something that is very important to the lad for his future when speedway is no more for him. You have always disliked William Lawson. Fair enough we can't all like the same riders but you are constantly slagging him for something. Give credit where it is due for god's sake or maybe you just haven't bothered to check his results this season. Much better to have a pop isn't it
