Subedei, really appreciate you posting the results each time, but why do you say "Bonus points calculated per British Elite League" - are they normally calculated differently in Poland?

Thanks

Regarding Bydgoszcz v Rzeszow match...

First of all the track was a bit flooded as it had rained quite heavily before the meeting. This and a really tough fight from both sides caused lots of falls. Two ref's decisions were very controversial - excluding PePe in 11 and AJ in 15.

And Polonia have been just weak so far:

- PePe's bikes are rubbish (no excuse for him). His performances in SGP make me sick

- AJ's still not riding as good as it's expected.. Hell knows why - I think that it may be everything mixed: bikes, falls, himself :(

- Sawina's also the shadow of himself last year (but I expected this..)

Fortunately our young riders have been doing a really great job but if PePe and AJ don't wake up we'll be lost.. It may be a really hard task to qualify for the top Four

N.Pedersen was damn good tonight (actually Holta too). I hate him but he did great job tonight tho' he should have been excluded in the heat 15.

And the table after 7 rounds (so before the return matches):

place/team/matches/(wins,draws,defeats)/points

1. Unia Tarnów 7 (5 0 2) 10

2. WTS Wrocław 7 (5 0 2) 10

3. Włókniarz Częstochowa 7 (4 0 3) 8

4. Polonia Bydgoszcz 7 (4 0 3) 8

5. Unia Leszno 7 (4 0 3) 8

6. KS Toruń 7 (4 0 3) 8

7. Stal Rzeszów 7 (2 0 6) 4

8. RKM Rybnik 7 (0 0 7) 0

After 14 rounds the table is divided into 2 groups of 4 (places 1-4 and 5-8) and then each team will ride h&a with other 3 teams of its group. Points scored previously in the 14 rounds remain. So this year we do not have a classic play-off based on knock-out system.

So, I guess that means we're half way through the regular season and time for an opinion as to how the various teams are getting on. Here are my thoughts:

Tarnow: Sitting at the top of the table and that's where they want to be. But I sense all is not well in the camp. They've been heavily reliant on Tomasz Gollob, Kolodziej and to a lesser extent Marcin Rempala. Tony Rickardsson is fine and dandy, when he's around. But he's not around too much. And Kolodziej's injury will be a bitter blow.

Rider of the season so far: Janusz Kolodziej.

Wroclaw: Looking more and more powerful with each passing meeting. Wroclaw have assembled a super side, but can they keep everyone happy? Serious contenders for the title. Crump has been outstanding, with solid support from Hampel and Andersen.

Rider of the season so far: Jason Crump.

Czestochowa: Heavily reliant on a powerful top five, with limited support from the juniors. The fans, apparently, want Matej Zagar to be given a chance, but the club are sticking with Lee Richardson. And, being fair, he hasn't let them down.

Rider of the season so far: Greg Hancock.

Bydgoszcz: Assembled their side early and it looked great, under the old rules. But then the rules changed and other clubs took advantage of signing more foreign stars. Still, the Bydgoszcz squad looked capable, but things haven't really gone their way so far. At least Kosciecha looks to be finding his feet, but concerns surround Andreas Jonsson and Piotr Protasiewicz.

Rider of the season so far: Krzysztof Buczkowski.

Leszno: Looking a poor side in my view and would've had another loss in their record if it wasn't for Tarnow's Lukas Dryml and Jacek Gollob losing their points from the season's opener.

Rider of the season so far: Damian Balinski.

Torun: Had a good start to the season, but are starting to fade. None of their foreign stars have really performed consistently.

Rider of the season so far: Adrian Miedzinski.

Rzeszow: Started well, but suffered during Nicki Pedersen's absence. Now that Pedersen's back, they should consolidate and climb the table.

Rider of the season so far: Nicki Pedersen.

Rybnik: Where everyone expected them to be. But, apart from the odd meeting, they've done reasonably well. And they pushed Tarnow very hard, in Tarnow, in their last meeting.

Rider of the season so far: Martin Smolinski.

I made some calculations - results of rounds 7-14 that are the most likely to happen (with bonus points) and after round 14 it looks as following:

1. Wroclaw - 27

2. Tarnow - 23

3. Czestochowa - 21

4. Torun - 19

5. Rzeszow - 17

6. Bydgoszcz - 17

7. Leszno - 16

8. Rybnik - 0

Fortunately such calculations never work in 100% and there are some surprises every year so the real table after 14 round will vary a bit for sure. But so far Wroclaw seem to be the favourite to take the Champ title, Tarnow to be 2nd and a race for the bronze between Cz-wa, Torun, Rzeszow, Bydgoszcz.

Looking at it now, Tarnow is not a Championship caliber team. Thankfully we still have a half of regular season and final round to go. Wroclaw is so strong right now that it is quite logical to put them as a front runner. What will decide in my opinion is the bonus points situation. For Tarnow gettinh bonuses from Rybnik, Bydgoszcz, Czestochowa, Rzeszow and Leszno is a must. Without it we should not even think about getting gold again. Bonus with Torun is gone in my opinon. Decisive could be result of Wroclaw -Tarnow duel. If by any chance we are able to hold to the bonus then in the final round anything could happen. But I have doubts we will be able to get a good score in Wroclaw.

Anyhow, after coming round I see Wroclaw, Tarnow, Czestochowa and Bydgoszcz in the top 4. Just a prediction.
