Actually, the pre-meeting team sheets had Nicholls riding for Tarnow rather than Rickardsson.

As for Kolodziej - and the rest of the Tarnow team, apart from TR - I don't think they like the Torun track that much.

As for the GP, I just think it's hard to come into the GP as a track reserve. I think Kolodziej would've done better if he'd been there as the wild card.

OK...a little off topic as it's not Ekstraliga, but I was in Opole on Sunday* and was wondering if any of our Polish members knows of the condition of Robert Flis?

He had a horrible accident in his first race when his throttle appeared to stick open out the start, and he hit the (very solid) fence straight on at full speed. I'm sure he would have wished for an air fence in that crash!

I checked a couple of sites, and think that he maybe has just an ankle injury, but my Polish isn't so good, and online translators can be very unreliable!

Concerning Robert Flis, the scan showed some fracture on his foot bone. After consulting his doctor in Gorzow today they will decide if the cast is needed or maybe small procedure. Anyhow, it is not as bad as it looked on the track. No concussion, just his foot.

I understand, and hopefully you'll gt to see an ekstraliga meeting in ZG next year!!! Rico documented a bit of the trip and the visitors cage-and I think you'll find that it was way more pleasant that in Leszno last year.

 

It was nice to see all the folks again in Wroclaw as well as meet new ones!!!

Remember Hampel was on the inside of Janusz in the GP fighting for a semifinal place. No way Polish management would allow Janusz to beat Hampel in that heat.
