Not a great night for Bjarne, Anton and to a lesser extent KK. Obvious reason though...they're suffering from EL-itis. After all big meeting on Wednesday. :P Jusy hope Bjarne hasn't aggravated his injuries - he's still not 100% after his Ippo prang.

Thought it was pretty dull tonight for the most part, livened up a little towards the end. Big credit to Nicki P - riding with those still recovering arms, and getting up from a crash to win the rerun. The guys totally alien I swear it! ;)

Bit of a topsy turvy one for places though - if you look at who was top 8 and who wasn't, seemed a lot of guys just not at the races tonight who would normally be. Still fair play to Zagar and Hampel for taking advntage I guess.

Roll on Sweden. :approve:

Excellent stuff from young Mr Zagar :approve::approve:

A convincing win for Jason and a well deserved 2nd for Greg.

A shame for Nicki to miss out after clearly being the fastest rider on the night.

Is this the beginning of the end for Rickardsson ?, is he giving up so he doesn't get injured before he starts his car racing career ? or is he just not as good as he was ?. Only time will tell.

Zagar was the joker in the pack, good riding by the slovenian.

But the track was far to slick.

I certainly hope that the GP in my hometown, Eskilstuna will be one to remember for good racing, with plenty of passing and not a dead slick track.

What's gone wrong with Rickardsson? Brilliant stuff from Nicki or shall we call him Zippy  Unlucky to make the finals. As for Greg, he should have won. By far the best rider, although suprising.

Well, a rather tedious GP, although it did liven up towards the end. And Crump's two battles with Hancock were wonderful races. As a general rule of thumb, I feel a race is good if you don't notice the annoying noise that heralds each new lap. Alas, I noticed it far too often tonight.

Anyway, congratulations to Jason Crump on his win.

And, as ever, here's my thoughts on the individual riders:

Leigh Adams - Made the semis, but he'll be disappointed with his showing, although he did look quick enough. I thought he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time on a few occasions tonight.

Bjarne Pedersen - Pretty dreadful really. He had one good race, but didn't look remotely like making the semis.

Antonio Lindback - Started very badly, but picked up a bit as his races got that little bit easier towards the end.

Jason Crump - Brilliant. Always looked a likely winner and, ultimately, was the winner.

Andreas Jonsson - Obviously wasn't pushing it too much because of his injury.

Scott Nicholls - Started very well, but ultimately was very fortunate to make the semis. He looked culpable for his fall in his last qualifier and then he might've been excluded in the re-run had Kasprzak bit the dirt. But Kasprzak didn't and Nicholls made the semis, where, as per usual, he flopped.

Greg Hancock - Was outstanding most of the night, with only one really poor ride when he lost control and dumped BP in the fence and was excluded. A very good GP from Hancock.

Tomasz Gollob - Looked slow, wasn't making the best of starts, but made the semis. And that was about all he deserved.

Jaroslaw Hampel - A much better showing from Hampel, which you'd expect as it's his home track. Probably be a bit disappointed at missing out on a place on the podium, but at least he made the final.

Matej Zagar - Where'd he come from? Was rather anonymous for most of the meeting, but made the semis, then the final and finished third. Excellent.

Tony Rickardsson - Awful, just awful. Needs serious track time, or he'll finish nowhere. Should take the leagues more seriously. The competition's much tougher this time around.

Nicki Pedersen - Looked super-fast all night, but made a mistake in the semi and missed out.

Krzysztof Kasprzak - Did okay, no more and no less.

Piotr Protasiewicz - It just doesn't happen for PePe in the GPs. Should give them up as a bad job.

Niels Kristian Iversen - Won a race, but that's about it.

Lee Richardson - Won a race, but that's about it.

FLU !   :o

Come on TNT it is MANflu, made him very pale headed though, he gets blonder every season!

Think this will be the last GP season for Lee Richardson unless he does the qualifiers.

Simon Stead should be in there instead of him.

Should of put Mark Loram in!

Errrrrrrr no we wont, someone already has that nickname  I think he's more a touchy feely sort of person me and my little lad couldn't stop laughing, little things and all that once we started laughing and putting captions to his movements that was it

For one particular poster - who shall remain anonymous - try putting Rickardsson's name in where Crump's was and see what you think. It would've been another awesome GP win from the great man - did enough in the qualifiers, got through to the final and then walloped everyone in the final. Rickardsson did it often enough last season and this particular poster was in raptures.

Crump wasn't lucky, didn't have luck, he was just brilliant.

Easily sorted - just mess around with the signposts when you see Olsen coming and direct him to Orebro instead of Eskilstuna.

WHERE IS HE?????

Here Shovvy Shovvy Shovvy.....

I have to admit the only reason I came on here tonight was to see the world famous Mr S eating his words and squirming after tonight's GP. And he's not here! What a joke!

You are so sad the season has just begun, they'll be plenty of chances throughout the season to tease people with what they say/predict. I'm hoping to eat my words as I've Nikki P for the title this year.

Thought this may help you out -

sense of humour

n : the trait of appreciating (and being able to express) the humorous; "she didn't appreciate my humor"; "you can't survive in the army without a sense of humor" [syn: humor, humour, sense of humor]

Good to see Stevehone's got one.
