Mr. Clemens
Questions to anyone who can give the appropriate advice 1. Where exactly is the stadium in relation to the town centre = how far away is it? 2. What's the best way of getting there by public transport? 3. Is the official practice on the friday or on the saturday? 4. Can the general public go to the official practice? 5. If so what times it likely to begin and for how long will it run? 6. What time does the meeting begin - and what time should we be there? I think that will do for starters One of the Polish workers my wife is interpreting for - his father in law is called Roman Peczek This guy told me his father in law was a speedway rider in the 80's - does anyone have any information on this gentleman - that I could pass on to his son in law? Mateusz
(...)However - I couldnt even attempt a polish translation! Oblac narodziny dziecka (very informal) 1. Where exactly is the stadium in relation to the town centre = how far away is it? As far as I remember it's about 10 minutes by tram or 45-60 minutes by walk from the Old Square (Rynek). 2. What's the best way of getting there by public transport? Tram. 3. Is the official practice on the friday or on the saturday? As all GPs - Friday. 4. Can the general public go to the official practice? Sure. 5. If so what times it likely to begin and for how long will it run? In Bydgoszcz it's always about between 15:00-17:00 so I guess it looks the same in Wroclaw. 6. What time does the meeting begin - and what time should we be there? As all GPs - 19:00. Time of your arrival depends on where you have your tickets for. If you are to sit in the area with numbered seats you don't have to worry at all and can arrive even at 19:00. If not - you should come much earlier to get better (higher staged) seats. They are supposed to open gates at 17:00.. I'm gonna be around the stadium about 15:00. If I encounter any serious queues at the gates I will join people who are queuing. Unless there are many fans at the gates I'll sit under umbrella and drink some lagers observing the situation Edited April 30, 2006 by Mateusz

Seems to me if we get to the stadium for 5 pm that should be soon enough - tickets have been obtained for us (hopefully ) in the main stand apparently - but that remains to be seen. Mateusz
(...) Will Marta be there? Yes. She works in Jonsson's team as his assistant so she goes to most GPs. (...) As for Marta, Mateusz will explain. Long story... You know, there are some girls in man's life you can talk really long about. Anyway, maybe some other time. I'm in Tenerife for the 3rd GP of the season and was wondering if anyone knew of any bars in the Las Americas area that would show it. The Harlequin bar on the sea front has all the sky sports programmes and you can have a bet there if you so wish. + cheap beer.
