craig
Just got back from the meeting. Not much overtaking at all but only to be expected with the quality on show, first out of the gate and with their noses in front was generally the winner. The top four performers in Neath, Kennett, Stead and Hurry were all great. Hurry maybe could have scored slightly more if he did not hit the dirt in heat 16 after tangling with Compton who he then had a discusion with at the end. Ricky Ashworth also rode well as did Olly Allen. Tacey was poor as was expected, also Thorp who never showed at all. Surprise result of the night was J. Wright win in heat 19 and second place to Morris neither who had had a sniff all night, this then pushing out King and surprise package Wilkinson out of a possible top six place. At the end of the night whose a great win for Kennett in the race off, just glad he beat Hurry to stop some gloating from one individual. SCB
Godo to see Carl in there outscoring riders I think most of us would have predicted he'd lose to back in February. That said, I can't help but look at the points he dropped and feel he should have done better. So Well Done Calr but make sure you bloody qualify next time Not bad for a track Carls not too fond of and great practice for next week! Watch out Kennett! The SAINT
Should be a good one. Hopefully track will be nice and grippy as weather is supposed to be sunny all day so hopefully aload of water chucked on it. Will be completely different from Mondays meeting. Would be very surprised if the home two don't finish in the top six, but all the rest look to have a chance apart from Ashworth, Tacey and Cunningham. Far too many riders seeded into the final though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> your lack of speedway knowledge is obviously bourn out of watching it at rye house!! well done ricky-it's nice to be able to ram it down a southerners big gob ......innit! BossMan
Looking forward to this one too. Weather down here is bright and sunny, forecast is good, so there is absolutley NO EXCUSE for the track to be as slick and dry as it has been so far this season. It's supposed to be an honour to stage these kind of meetings isn't it? Lets hope that the promotion do it justice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shame the wizard did not use some of his magic to get a decent track. Tonight was a gaters paradise a la Mr Kennett. Ed in particular was lightening out of the gate most races. paul hurry rode well and so did carl wikinson who i think was unlucky not to qualify after his blistering 1st race!! The Wizard Of SHADWELL
1st Ed Kennett It didn't rain then <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Horses for course. Eddie is good on dry, slick, tight tracks. Some other riders are good on soaking wet, greasy, muddy tracks littered with stock car parts and surrounded by solid fences. Shame there weren't any Kings Lynn fans there to cheer on their British riders. Ps. Didn't see Vega, unless it was that guy in the Arena shirt with the ENORMOUS beer belly on the 3rd turn. craig
Ps. Didn't see Vega, unless it was that guy in the Arena shirt with the ENORMOUS beer belly on the 3rd turn. Funnily enough I was thinking the same.

Vincent Vega
Nah werent me chaps didnt go I am afraid watched the Slovenian GP instead. I have never bought a speedway top anyway dont bother just own an Arena programme board old one from the glorious treble winning 1991 season and scarf. Do either of you own Rye House tops? craig
Yes a nice classy polo top and I know Shadders has a very nice waterproof jacket but neither of us has a lyra top which looks two sizes to small and Rye house to my knowledge has never sold anything like that Arena fan was wearing. As a Spurs fan its compariable to our tight fitting shirts which are worn by some people whose physic means they should be never allowed out in the street in them. Oh well let us all down again VV
kingcinder
Has it ever crossed your mind VV that some Rye supporters or 1 in particular know who you are.
