MOGGO WILL NOT BE RIDING AT RYE HOUSE SATURDAY NIGHT.

The only thing that Alan has wanted to do is ride for Stoke; it’s where his heart is. However, he has been pushed and pressured into riding at Rye and he really does NOT want to. He has already said that this is his last year in the sport and has offered his place ‘to a young lad that wants to go places’!

So, if you were planning a trip down to Hertfordshire to see MOGGO, Moggo wont be there!

No big deal. The old man wouldn't have qualified anyway. Best off him helping Stoke try to win at home anyway as they look a poor team as it is. They need all the help they can get. Bottom 3 AGAIN.

Hopefully he is fined for a late withdrawl from the championship and banned from some league meetings. It only seems fair. If the riders are going to treat the national championship with such distain then some punishment should follow.

Such is life.

Chris

I dont think there was any need for that at all

Please explain the part where you said poor team??

Lemon?

coles?

clews?

kessler?

Moggo?

Evans?

Priest?

Which one of those is poor in your eyes?

It is wrong that these meetings are put together and they dont ask the riders if they would like to take part they just enter them!!!

We are the only club riding tonight with a rider in it(hardly fair?)

Chris we were only bottom three last year because of major injuries to Paul Pickering and Jan Staechmann our top two riders let's just hope that Rye do not end up in the same situation this season as you just do not recover from a situation like that easily. I guess we were a bad team in 2004 when we finished fourth were we and finished runners up in the fours and pairs of course we were.

Anyway back onto the subject the reason the statement was put up is quite simple to let those people that were going to support Moggo know that he would not be there, no need to attack any of the Stoke team or anyone else isn't it better for it to be mentioned before people travel down there to find out he is not riding? Of course it is. Who says it is a late withdrawel? Just because it has come out now does not mean it was or is a late withdrawel does it? Also for your information Moggo is not riding for Stoke tonight but will be at Loomer Road supporting his team mates and I have total respect for the guy.

Who cares where Stoke are in the league at least we got speedway and that is all that matters at the end of the day nice to win but not at all costs I've got seven mates on that track as long as seven friends go home at the end of the day and the opposing riders go home in one piece that is all that matters.

P.S. Get well soon Stuart Robson.

you you think its right that a rider has to sacrifice riding for his club to ride in something he doesnt want to ride in .. Moggo wont be riding tonight for the potters but he will be there SUPPORTING his team mates. Its his last year riding so why would he want to risk injury riding in something he has no interest in. Im sure if it was one of your riders you would be behind him 100%.

Looks an interesting meeting.

I question how certain riders get picked for these meetings, and without being disrespectful to the older generation of riders of Thorpy, Cunningham and Tacey etc, shouldnt we be sticking our up and coming younger riders in here like Wilkinson, Bridger and Boxall.

I know the Swedes and Poles would do it, just to give their younger riders some more experience in individual meetings at higher levels.

I think the 6 to go through will be King, Neath, Hurry, Kennett, Wright and possibly Moore.

Is Olly Allen in this meeting or is he seeded?

Ok cheers, I would say Allen has a good chance to qualify.

My point still stands about young British riders not being given the chance to ride in these kind of meetings and agree that way to many of the old guard are taking up seedings and semi final places.

Tommy Allen and Richie Hawkins are two others, who Im sure would have jumped at the chance.

Paul Hurry will clean up you know it I know it the rest of the field know it!!!  May turn up tonight will look out for you but of course you wont know who I am!!!

Not with his gating on the slick, I think Kennett rang rings around him at Poole last season.

bazaar3 you so right mate and that is what Moggo has obviously said, I thought the authorities supposed to be pushing the younger riders not keeping the old guard. (Mean't with no disrespect for those riders). If the old guard keep getting nominated we'll never bring the younger riders through in these competitions.

On the contrary Chris. Moggo always top scores at Rye House and probably would have qualified to the next round!

Its not been poor riders that have seen Stoke finish low in the league its been bad luck with injuries.

Who is to say that it IS late withdrawal? Do YOU know whats been happening behind the scenes? NO! Just because its only just been announced does NOT mean its only just happened!

Why should ANY rider be banned or fined for wanting to ride for their club rather than seeking individual glory? Surely its rider choice if he doesnt want to ride in something outside of his contracted club!

Perhaps you should have waited to know the truth before typing stuff like ''If the riders are going to treat the national championship with such distain then some punishment should follow''!

Yeah, such is life!
