normanb
From British-speedway.co.uk.... (So what about J.King, also finished on 10pts. Did they have some sort of count-back with him and Wrighty?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The engine fire didn't have much effect at the end of the day because he still ended up in the semi final but unfortunately didn't make it to the final. Star Fever
By FenTiger76 Crowd wasn't great, but then a BRITISH U21 Final would hardly be much interest to Kings Whinge supporters would it And why is that then - Trees and Shooting Star seemed to enjoy it? Personally, having already forked out more than the usual weekly speedway budget at West Row this week we decided to give this one a miss simply because we'd rather watch a team match. It was certainly nothing to do with the GB line-up as you insinuate, and we'd have made the same decision if it had been full of U-21 Danes/ Czechs or whoever. Anyway, Lynn after all do at least have some up and coming GB riders as club assets - which is more than some teams not a million miles away

JJ
congrats to Ben BEN LIVES THE DREAM BEN Wilson has described his British Under-21 title win as 'a dream come true'. Wilson kept his cool to win the grand final at King's Lynn ahead of Daniel King, Lewis Bridger and Steve Boxall. The Sheffield and Wolverhampton rider was leading the original staging when it was stopped - and he did it again in the re-run. He said: "This is what I've wanted ever since I first started riding speedway, it's an unbelievable feeling for me. "When the final was stopped I thought it might not happen for me, but I decided to stay relaxed and it paid off. It's a real dream come true for me and I'm delighted." taken from wolverhampton-speedway.co.uk Edited May 4, 2006 by JJ82
