Crowd wasn't great, but then a BRITISH U21 Final would hardly be much interest to Kings Whinge supporters would it

I would love to have seen it, sadly 22 heats starting at 1945 with the prospect of quite a few re runs due to the riders not giving an inch and really going for it (which is as it should be) along with the customary LONG interval and the tractor grading after every heat do not mix with long shifts and getting up at 0500.

Had I been sure that if re runs were necessary, and I think we could all predict there would be a few, the interval would have been cut short I might just might have considered it, but I'm afraid earning a wage has to be the priority. How else do I afford £14 to get into away meetings :P

Aybody know if this meeting was filmed? Would like to get the dvd if available.

Bezza

Alan (Team Man) filmed it for us on Wednesday and we will be producing this as a DVD shortly.

I'll put a link up here to my website when it's ready then you can order on line.

They will also be available at Kings Lynn and several other track shops! :D

Thought there was some excellent action on Wednesday evening on a track where riders could have a good go round the outside....could have done with a touch more grip but some great racing nevertheless. The four finalists thoroughly deserved to be there and were all excellent, special mention to Boxall who rode superbly considering the size of his home track. Jason King was almost as good while Wright was mildly disappointing although fairly quick, and Brundle & Kennett a huge let down :( Josh Auty was the best of the rest for me and looks a great prospect

So well done to Ben Wilson. Finally though I have to say I was quite astonished by Lewis Bridger having only seen him in an under 15 match before. To have that much speed, control and thought (he stitched Kennett up like a kipper when they met) at sixteen is almost unbelievable and he seems set for an enormous future. I have been one of the loudest shouters on this forum concerning his missing out of the PL in his speedway education, and although my opinions are too strong to change already :P I have to say that his performance along with some recent scores are making me look a little foolish. He also dispelled the myth that he can only ride small tracks and shook hands on every slow down lap, as well as not giving up until the flag every time (Kennett take note). Top marks Mr Bridger :)

Most of us were concerned that he might find it too hard for the EL, lose confidence and at worse, get knocked about.

I'm just damned disappointed he's not in the PL because we miss out watching him racing on our tracks, at least we have Holder, Lawson, Boxall, Troy, Wright, Doyle, Kings etc etc who are pretty exciting young prospects whatever track they are visiting in the PL :)

Bagpuss,

Judging by your comments re-Kennett, I take it your not his greatest fan then? ;)

Hope its nothing to do with the team colours he wears! :o

Ok he didnt qualify on a track he obviously has problems with, but as I posted earlier there are many riders that have bogey tracks. (Allott had many, and so did Werner, to name but two more experienced riders).

Not sure if this is a mental thing, or down to riding styes, but it clearly affects some riders more than others.

Ed is a very talented young rider, who in a short career has already achieved a great deal on various tracks and at different levels. I'm sure one day he will be a full-time asset at EL level, and maybe even a regular GB international.

I sincerely hope Bridger gets to this level as well. Judging his rapid progress so far, he may even achieve more success than Ed. It happens.

It was a privilege to see Lewis ride. Not taking anything from Ben Wilson who thoroughly deserved his win.

I am no more or less of a fan of Edward Kennett than any of the other 15 riders who rode on Wednesday night Rob S, however I did expect him to put up a much better performance than he did. By his own admission Lynn isn't his favourite track but with him being on paper the the best British rider under 21 years of age I expected a lot more from him. And yes he does give up to easily for my liking, and that has nowt to do with his colours as I felt the same about Olly Allen last year

Yep I am certainly glad I went! Lewis was trying lines that most PL and some EL riders don't / didn't at Lynn and was the most exciting rider on view by some distance. Will certainly make the effort to watch him in an EL match when Eastbourne come to East Anglia :)

Any news on when the DVD of this meeting is going to be available?

How much? and Who do I need to contact?

Thanks -

Bezza

Sorry for the delay everyone.

The DVD is now ready and will be on sale at various track shops over the next couple of weeks. :D

I'm just sorting out a link so you can order via email on our speedway site.

Hope to have that up and running in a couple of days.

Cost is £15 plus postage and running time is about 85 minutes.

Any news on the link.

Tried to buy a copy wednesday at Lynn but no sign of it!

They will be on sale at Kings Lynn on Wednesday for the Edinburgh meeting and also at Mildenhall from next Sunday. There is a problem with the website at the moment so pm me if you want to order by email.

Should have the new speedway site up and running soon! :D

Just testing! :D Guess it's the fact that I haven't been to the Norfolk Arena for a month - gets confusing at my age! :D
