Killer Cat from Mars
I doubt it...it's lost a lot of prestige this meeting so more than likely you'll be able to pay on the gate. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I remember the old BLRC meetings. A packed to the rafters Hyde Road, and a field that was often better than the world final. Now it's just another open meeting!!! How can a meeting that used to be one of the highlights of the calendar have become so devalued?
KevH
How can a meeting that used to be one of the highlights of the calendar have become so devalued? In my opinion, because riders seem to withdraw fom the meeting without incurring severe penalties - it should be in their contracts that if they qualify, they ride. tony159
Expect a great meeting this year . With all the G.P. riders out to prove a point before the G.P series starts and the riders fully fit and motivated at the start of the year ...... Cant fail to be a meeting not to be missed . P.S . Also being held on a real racing track .
DanTheMan
i was a bit shocked when i first heard about it being held so early, but i can see why they've done it. At least this way the field will be full of the best riders, and they all have something to prove early on in the season
Charles
The Rising Sun does pretty good Oriental/Thai stuff at lunchtimes and is about a 5-10 min walk from the stadium. Loads of pubs and restuarants of all sorts down in the Old Town heading towards the quay. Not sure which will be open and which not, but there's bound to be quite a few as it's a Sunday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats it Rabs give away all the nice place's to eat .... do they still do shredded duck
rabbit
Well they do give our company 15% discount Charlie Boy so it's the least I can do in return! And it is pretty yummy food as well as you well know. don't know about the duck but I can recommend the Spicy Singapore Noodles or the King Prawn Red Thai Curry. barrow boy
If Trick has stopped riding for Oxford by ELRC day presumably he won't be allowed in. Would anybody like to add.

Would anybody like to add. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's going to be interesting now. Oxford announced at last night's match that TR's last match for them is on Good Friday so by Easter Monday he will no longer be an Oxford rider. SCB
Adults £17 Are the people on the turnstiles going to be wearing masks? At least Dick Turpin had the decency to do so!
Steve Shovlar
Considering the look of the field the price is a very fair one, and only £3 more than usual.
crazysue
Ouch.......not what I was expecting. £5 a child!! Bearing in mind I was planning on bringing all 3 children with me, that makes for an expensive day out (if you include travel there as well)......anyone want to look after a few kids that day? stevehone
Considering the look of the field the price is a very fair one, and only £3 more than usual. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> spose you would say that considering it's at your home track. with the ever increasing petrol prices it does make it a very expensive day out for a family. Gemini
do they still do shredded duck? Poor Duck. It's going to be interesting now. Oxford announced at last night's match that TR's last match for them is on Good Friday so by Easter Monday he will no longer be an Oxford rider. I'd say there is a 1% chance Tony will ride and 99% chance he won't. Edited April 2, 2006 by Gemini
