greybear
I says in this weeks star that David Howe is representing Oxford at the ELRC. Are you going down to Poole Graham? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry mate, only just read this. No I think I'll probably be missing this as will be doing Redcar (fingers crossed for the weather), Belle Vue & Stoke on the three days previous. fatface
Just like to add my support to the early staging of this event this year. They get a lot wrong, but the BSPA have made a very sensible move here and deserve credit. The event has lost some of its lustre in recent years, but with a strong line-up and the GPs yet to kick-off, this year's meeting should have quite a bit of bite to it. BobC
Until we go over to the squad system,I havent got time for this 'rider share' thing.Im pleased that Rickardssson has withdrawn. At least Oxford now have a fully contracted rider to race for them. Lets just hope that AJ does the decent thing and withdraws, and lets a true 2006 Arena rider represent their club.
Steve Shovlar
Forecast for Sunday is good. Sunny periods and warmer. Should be a great meeting.

Fantastic atmosphere and racing every year. You had to buy an advance ticket to make sure of getting in! Edited April 12, 2006 by Beowulf
Gemini
Ah! Memories! Those were the days. The ELRC seems to have gone the way of Test Matches & the British Final unfortunately, but perhaps having it early in the season - as against in October when some of the riders couldn't be bothered to put themselves out to ride - might revive it. But times change and this meeting has sent the seaon out with a wimper rather than a bang in recent years.
Aries
Yippee! No sooner do I whinge and there he is in the line-up! Now, where did Pepe go? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> pepe started the season behind both Chris Louis and Mark Loram in the averages so he doesn't get the nod which is a huge shame, on current form he would have been a dark horse in my opinion as he's started the season like a house on fire Edited April 12, 2006 by Bloomy

crazysue
Still trying to decide if I go to this or not....I will have to make my mind up soon otherwise I will end up paying for the room I have reserved! Would love to come but it works out quite expensive for all of us and I am not sure I can really justify paying the money out.
