tomazpozrl
Hi guys I just wanted to let you know that Matej Ferjan has been nominated by AMD Krsko, the organizer of Grand Prix of Slovenia, as a wild card for this year's Krsko GP. This has not yet been approved by FIM and BSI, but it is supposed to happen in the next couple of days. Reserve riders in Krsko will be Izak Santej and Jernej Kolenko. Hazzman
The Hungarian rider of Ferjan, will we see fans from Miskolc. Why not give the Croatian Superkid a wild card.
SCB
Why not give the Croatian Superkid a wild card. Possibly because the Slovenians have given the best Slovenian rider a chance instead.

pugwash
May be that The Slovenian Authorities and Matej are mending "broken bridges" at long last, perhaps Tomaz can enlighten us?
tomazpozrl
The Hungarian rider of Ferjan, will we see fans from Miskolc. Why not give the Croatian Superkid a wild card. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AFAIK, a part of the deal of bringing Ferjan in as a wild card, is also promoting this meeting in Hungary. Hungarians are supposed to sell a couple of hundreds of tickets for Krsko Gp in Hungary. And about Pavlic - I understand he was considered for at least a reserve place in this year's GP meeting, BUT he is too young to ride in the GP. The age limit is 17, and Jura will turn 17 in June, therefore he'll have to wait another year to make a GP debut. Possibly because the Slovenians have given the best Slovenian rider a chance instead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm ... well, I won't comment on that. I'm sure I read something which mention Ferjan was Hungarian and has switched his license to Hungarian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ferjan has been riding with hungarian licence since 2003. But he is (still) not Hungarian, he is still Slovenian citizen. Although, as he said in the interview for slovenian speedway website www.speedway.si a couple of weeks ago, he is learning hungarian language and the national anthem, which are among others two conditions to receive hungarian passport. By his own words, he should get the new passport before the World Cup qualifying meeting in Miskolc in July and will ride for Hungary. May be that The Slovenian Authorities and Matej are mending "broken bridges" at long last, perhaps Tomaz can enlighten us? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure about "mending broken bridges". As far as I know, choosing Ferjan for WC was the decision of Krsko GP organizers, and that's AMD Krsko club, and not the Slovenian motorcycling federation. Both sides (Ferjan and the authorities from Ljubljana) seem to put all the problems behind them, but honestly I can't see a closer cooperation (Ferjan coming back to Slovenia, riding for Slovenian national team) in the near future. Hazzman
Thanks for the superb reply, Tomaz that's cleared up my misgivings. As I wrote I'm sure Hungrians will bring some fans for him. Pavlic, next year then.
