SCB
tony hadley was the guy, John Postelwaite is either a bit tight with his money or has an embarassing and dated taste in music. Yeah, they should spend £1000's hiring the latest pop acts!! It's a bloody speedway meeting, not a pop concert!

Nevs
Nothing wrong with a bit of Spandau Ballet, Nevsy enjoyed it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was humouring you....merely humouring you........ I think a nice bit of The Dooleys would go down rather well They could always try and book Madness but I guess BSI wouldnt be too keen to see that splattered across their logo on the back of The Speedway Star on the advert. Kevin Meynell
I think a nice bit of The Dooleys would go down rather well I saw them playing on a North Sea ferry a few years ago. Not my era, but quite entertaining nonetheless!
iris123
f-s-p, I think you'd get a lot more Germans visiting the SGP's. Well Bonnie Tyler has been on tele here a few times lately,so she does have a fan base in Germany as well. Not as big as the man who caused the fall of communism though, obviousy! Lets face it they could have got Bonnie Langford, now that would be bad!!!

KevH
I was referring to the "Rooting For" comment apparently that means something rude in Australia (well according to Marty it does anyway ) Trust him to lower the tone.
Tigerblade
I was referring to the "Rooting For" comment apparently that means something rude in Australia (well according to Marty it does anyway )I'm glad I looked at SS' link to that Aussie slang - I could well have saved myself from making an idiot of myself (well, less of one anyway) in the Home Counties... I think a nice bit of The Dooleys would go down rather well I saw them playing on a North Sea ferry a few years ago. Not my era, but quite entertaining nonetheless!I saw them at Sheffield City Hall I was 13 at the time mind you (not much of an excuse really, I know)
