Gemini
.... when you listen to thousands of Poles singing and watching them jumping up and down in unison...... Ah! Now I know why Joanne was so keen to go to Prague. She will feel really at home there.

Papa Bazarou
Coventry Evening Telegraph reports that the official attendance was 36,676 has the bubble burst or at least started to deflate ? They keep talking about filling the place, guaranteed the prices will go up another fiver next year. I've been to all 3 Cardiff GPs, also sampled Prague, Vojens, Norway, Bydgozszcz and Slovenia for a GP challenge and all the atmosphere in the world served up by Cardiff (which was down this year IMO) cannot be matched by Poland. They are crazy, the atmosphere is brill and the racing top notch - Bydgozszcz is the meca for action. I'm off to get the home movie out from the Poland 2001 trip, I cannot wait until September. And remember folks, in the interests of the comfort of fellow spectators, please ensure that you direct your airhorns upwards :!:
Philip Addison
Sorry if anyone's already mentioned it,as i haven't read every posting on the GP threads but did anyone else spot any riders in the crowd. I'm sure i saw Phil Morris, the camera was on him for a good 4 or 5 seconds.

I'm off to Prague in September and early calculations are that it will be be a similar price to Cardiff, if not cheaper. If the racing is better in Prague - and chances are it will be - guess where my regular GP trip will be to :?:

SW17 Racer
Sorry if anyone's already mentioned it,as i haven't read every posting on the GP threads but did anyone else spot any riders in the crowd. I'm sure i saw Phil Morris, the camera was on him for a good 4 or 5 seconds. Asked what looked like a local the way to the bookies, and he was there for GP, so I asked him who he supported. "I ride for Hull" was the answer. Simon Cartwright. Seemed like a nice enough fella.

straty
I thought that the Cardiff GP was superb! No messing about with pre meeting rubbishe, just a great speedway meeting. As I recall, last year dragged on far too long with all of the interuptions and re-runs and all of the pointless music! I went to Cardiff to see a speedway meeting and thats what I got. If I have would have wanted to listen to crap music blasted out through my eardrums, then I would have listened to MTV on my headphones! Instead, I saw a good meeting with controversy involving TR and Scottie and Pedderson. At first, the track had only one line, but Rune Holta soon changed that with some great overtaking in his first ride. Long live Cardiff, cause if you have been to Wembley, you know that there is no outside atmosphere! The GP should stay at Cardiff and long may it remain.
