tommy
Still quite interested in that Gorzow - Tarnow fixture <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Iris, trouble with these meetings is that you'll never know what the line up will be, one day clubs announce riding in full squads and next thing u know it's mostly juniors riding . Best pre-season meetings should be ones in April, close to the first round of league action.
iris123
Thanks for that tommy. Thought Luxo Stars were riding in Poland on the 26th March! From what i have seen the full squad are coming to germany for a training camp 24th and 25th having a practice meeting against locals before going to Poland.Hope it hasn't been cancelled,i was looking forward to that
Mateusz
Winter's very long this year indeed. There's still lots of snow in Bydgoszcz and today morning it was -12 here. Riders may have very little time for training on a track this year I'm afraid..
tarabanko
Same rubbish here, lots of snow and damn cold too. Depressing. Read that we here in Sweden hasnt had such a winter since 1970. Where will this ends?

Although there was a lot of snow last weekend, the track is in pretty good condition now. The snow is now all gone, but the track is still very wet. They are now waiting for it to dry out and then they'll open it for practice. If everything goes by plan, first riders should be on the track by the end of next week. Cliv Clav
Did Rybnik race on Sunday? If so, has anyone got the scorers?
tommy
Did Rybnik race on Sunday? If so, has anyone got the scorers? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, no meetings have taken place yet...Rybnik is scheduled to ride a meeting at Leszno on Sunday. Let's hope the weather holds up On other fronts, Zielona Gora are planning a weekend full of speedway along with the team presentation. Saturday April 1st vs. Wroclaw (Crump confirmed!) + Team Presentaion and on Sunday an individual torunment with most (if not all ZG riders, Walasek,Lindgren, Hamill, Davidssons, Laukkenen,etc.). April 2nd is also the annual kick-off to the season with the "Criterion of Aces" in Bydgoszcz. I'm sure more meetigns will pop-up soon as the tracks get get fairly dry. Mateusz
In the daytime it's about 5-7 degrees but still subzero at nights in Bydgoszcz However, the track's good enough to ride and since today riders have been doing some laps at Polonia
tommy
Rybnik - Leszno meeting canceled. ZG are invited to practice on on Fri and Sat at Leszno and on Sunday have a meeting. Should warm up to over 10*C on the weekend but isolated showers also expected.

tone deaf
Good news for you Polonia Byggoszcz fans, Pepe has started the season like a rocket! He has been awesome for Ipswich & was unbeaten by an opponent last night. Shame it looks unlikely we'll make it over for the GP this year but maybe we'll try & make it to a league meeting. Yeah, I've been following British league this year and I'm nicely surprised with PePe The matter is now if he can keep on flying so high throughout the whole season. Honestly I doubt but time will tell.. Maybe it's gonna be PePe's breakthrough year? Shame it looks unlikely we'll make it over for the GP this year but maybe we'll try & make it to a league meeting. As every year there are gonna be lots of interesting meetings. The earliest hits are Bydgoszcz v Tarnow (23th April) and Bydgoszcz v Torun (3rd May) Now with RyanAir air connections it's not that hard to watch some Polish league speedway. tone deaf
Hope Pepe can keep it up for the season. He was a bit inconsistent last year but capable of winning meetings for us. He rode for the Witches at Mildenhall last week in a challenge & did very well on one of the smallest tracks around. Maybe you could make it to an Ipswich meeting too, its not that far from Stansted airport where Ryanair fly to from Bydgoszcz.

Maybe as I'll be staying in England from 1st June to the end of August. So far I've got Reading v Ipswich (5th June) in my schedule
