Guest speedyguy
Doug & Bob Serrurier , Fred Wills(South Africa) who rode @ Liverpool 1949/50, Buddy Fuller )South Africa) who rode @ Hastings & Liverpool, Roy Bester (Rhodesia) Edinburgh 1954, Arthur Duncan (S Africa) Birmingham 1956. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the first South African star to race in England was Stan Collins - about 1929 or 1930. No, I am not old enough to have seen him. The first SA rider I saw was Keith Harvey of New Cross in 1946, then 50 years old - good job there were no CL-style age-related gradings then! Guest speedyguy
Blimey, there's a blast from the past. What happened to him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Re Shawn Veneables: I believe he is now living in British Colombia (on west coast) and was at one-time a fire-fighter.
