I'd agree with that, the last heat was the most entertaining. Jensen was great value for money today, as well as all the other Peterborough riders.

Great meeting, I was proud to be there. The racing at times was a little processional but there was some good overtaking moves, mainly from the Peterborough riders, especially Heat 14 with Puk overtaking Havvy on the last lap. Good to see Johnno having an alright time as well.

I'm glad I went. :)

A good, well-run meeting with plenty of entertainment and something for every one I guess. Even the weather tried to join in the “Aussie” feel to the day by trying to give us 4 seasons in one day.

The sidecars provided their typical cut and thrust action; hopefully they wont have to wait so long for another visit to the showground. The slick inside/grippy outside track worked well for the solos but made it hard work the sidecars. Loved the donuts at the end!

Good to see some familiar faces, I’m sorry too that I missed a few of you.

Damn, I’ve just remembered. Is it too late to buy a raffle ticket?

was good to see False dawn out there in the sidecars ... he had a couple of bumpy rides, as well as trying to mount the fence from the start but we were suitably impressed ... took plenty of photos of them too!

Teams now confirmed:

Weather: Very windy (no rain tho)

Wind is stronger now, just started to rain and a horrible looking cloud looms.

Absolutely chucking it down now

As soon as rain stops we can get on with it.

Slight delay after every 4 heats, as Sidecar racing and other things take place.

The rain really came down at start of heat 5: its stopped again now.

Heat 10: Hans went from 3rd to 2nd on lap 3.

Speed Gun Result: Ryan Sullivan 57MPH

Still in interval and now the air fence has tried blowing away.

Heat 14: Brilliant pass by Iversen on back straight of last lap to take the lead.

Peeing it down again.

Heat 16: Nicholls fell 2nd lap while 3rd.

Bit confusing this but semi final 1 is

Gary Havelock, Jesper B.Jensen, Niels kristian Iversen, Mark Loram

and Semi 2: Bajerski, Walasek, Pedersen, Karlsson

Dont ask cause i dont have a clue

Seems like Jensen and Sullivan tossed a coin as they had same points, that really dont make sense why Bajerski is in it then lmao

Final line up:Greg Walasek, Jesper B.Jensen, Niels Kristian Iversen, Peter Karlsson

Just got back in......

Bloody hell that was windy!!! Not sure why Bajerski was chosen, but it had to be two from the Rest of The World team so it was him and PK.

I had taken my two fold up chairs (one a double, one a single) and sat down for a while but everytime the kids decided to go off and play on the bouncy castle, we ended up chasing the double chair down the hill.....funniest sight of the afternoon was seeing Tabby running after the bag the chairs went into! It was a day of lovely sunshine, then horizontal rain and then back to sunshine but at all times a blooming strong wind, at times so fierce we struggled to stay upright in the same spot but that did not spoil the day, in fact I think it added to it. Team GB seemed to really struggle and I am not sure why, Scott just didn't look himself and he must be gutted things really didn't work out for him.......Wilson was really quite good, in fact I would go as far as saying he was pretty impressive, he surely can't give up racing now, he is much too good to give it up. Jesper B Jensen was great, a very improved Jesper from the one we knew at Ippo, I really think the Showground and their set up suits him down to the ground and Neils was faultless.

Youngest left with the biggest smile of the day though, in the party afterwards, Hans seemed to recognise us and he rewarded Joe with a huge smile, a hello and then proceeded to pick him up to have a photo done....Joe was on cloud nine for the next hour or so.

All in all, a great day out and I am so glad I went

You can say that again.

That was hilarious :D

However, another hilarious moment was sitting in the grandstand, down the front, watching a dog genuinely enjoying watching the speedway racing, watching them go round, and jumping around whenever they raced past the start. classic! :D

I saw that too - was just as much fun watching that as the actual race - made my group smile for sure.
