panthersfan
Was that the black dog running round with the stick in his mouth? He was gorgeous <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that was a very nice dog, but no, it was a border collie.

BobC
Good day out. Good bits. Some very entertaining racing.Never seen Iversen or Jensen so dominant before. From the gate or chase, they were both excellent value. Sean Wilson was superb.Come on someone, get this guy in your team. Good mix of entertainment.Stunt team were very good, including their unintentional comedy routines!Criss cross of quad, solo, quad, solo etc ending in the first effort, with a quad/bike crash!Several wheelie attempts ending in falls. All riders were ok. Rosco doing the roving mike kept the whole thing moving. Sophie making a blue set of overalls look damned sexy! Also for falling off her bike, without leaving the pits, and setting it alight as well!Boy,does she know how to grab the attention!!!! Not so good. Celebs were only interviewed outside the pit entrance. Paul Robinson,Tottenham and England Goalkeeper, not fully introduced. He stayed in the pits,so I couldnt be 100% sure it was him at all! Air fence. While waiting for the proceedings to get under way,we noticed how the air fence, entering turn3,was lifting occasionally in the strong wind.Very dangerous.Pits were told(not by me),but did nothing until late on when it did lift and,and went straight over the safety fence!Fortunately, they were not racing at the time. Overall. Very good sized crowd, envied by most Promoters. Good racing. The track must have been a nightmare to prep, with occasional rain and high winds.I think they should be congratulated for their efforts. Fastest rider of the day: Ryan Sullivan 57 mph Fastest celeb of the day: Sophie Blake 13 mph(they were riding Monkey bikes!) Thanks to PanthersChamps 2006.For saving our seats, having a brilliant time, and allowing me to borrow your access all areas pass!Enjoyed the tour of the pits. Kieran. As Pbro Team Manager,I think you should be sacked!Allowing your boys to drop 5 pts..........just where was your team motivation!!! Well done to one and all.A really enjoyable day out had by all.I hope all the effort put in by the Testimonial committee made for a really profitable day for Ryan. Nice one. Shortcrust
sarah said you and me could have had a beer and a chat and she would have gone to buy Jesper B Jensen a drink <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah yes, well one can only dream... A great afternoon out, thoroughly entertained for the very reasonable admission fee. Shame it came down to a coin toss to decide whether Ryan or Jesper made the final of the meeting.... I think the best man won on the day. A fantastic final with Jesper fighting from last to first to take the win! Ryan really looked like he enjoyed himself, so glad the weather held out for him on his day. Nice also to see that his Dad came over from Oz to be with him too. Phil
Wilson was really quite good, in fact I would go as far as saying he was pretty impressive, he surely can't give up racing now, he is much too good to give it up. Yes, he mixed it with the top EL riders very well didn't he. Top 6th rider of the day (going on points). He would still be racing if Sheffield hadn't off dropped him! Niels Kristian Iversen - 3,3,3,3 = 12 Ryan Sullivan - 3,3,3,2 = 11 Jesper B Jensen - 3,3,3,2 = 11 Hans Andersen - 1,3,2,3 = 9 Bjarne Pedersen - 2,2,3,3 = 10 Sean Wilson - 2,2,2,1 = 7 Mark Loram - 3,1,1,1 = 6 Gary Havelock - 2,1,0,2 = 5 Peter Karlsson - 2,Ef,1,3 = 6 Gary Havelock - 2,1,0,2 = 5 Scott Nicholls - 0,2,2,F = 4 Craig Boyce - 0,2,1,1 = 4 David Norris - 0,1,0,2 = 3 Grzegorz Walasek - 1,1,1,0 = 3 Steve Johnston - 1,0,2,F = 3 Edward Kennett - 1,0,0,1 = 2 Tomasz Bajerski - 0,0,0,0 =
stevehone
i thought Wilson was one of the more exciting riders out there and was prepared to battle for his points ... certainly the best Englishman on the track yesterday! no idea what his average is, but would he fit in to Rye House as a short term replacement for Robson?? Heathcote
Thought it was great day out yesterday and was good to see so many turn out in cold and windy conditions to support Ryan. As mentioned earlier some of the racing was bit processional but there was the a few moments of brilliance on the track, with great riding by Niels and Jepser, also Sean and Hans in heat 2 was a good race. Shame Ryan didn't get into the semi's on his big day, I know it was said he tossed a coin with Jesper for the place.....but why didn't he take Sean Wilson's place in the semi. As top points scorer for the Rest of the OWrld he was entitled to be in the semi but I assume he suffered some sort of bike problems in trying to avoid the stricken Scott Nicholls in heat 20....surely Ryan would have provided better racing than Tomasz Bajerski. As for the other entertainemt, I thought that added to the spectacle that some of the racing lacked, in particular the celebs race......and getting to see Sophie come from behind!!!!!!!......classic. Should be fun on Tuesday night with the tables being turned on Rosco and Sophie, also be intersted to hear Ronnies comments on Arena being branded rubbish by Paul Robinson. Overall a fun day, good luck for the future Ryan He would still be racing if Sheffield hadn't off dropped him! To be dropped that infers no deal was offered......as Sean chose not to ride for the deal that was offered, one would have to assume it was his choice not to ride for Sheffield and not that he was dropped like a bad habit!!!!! False dawn
was good to see False dawn out there in the sidecars ... he had a couple of bumpy rides, as well as trying to mount the fence from the start but we were suitably impressed ... took plenty of photos of them too! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeh, he did well I thought. Spoke to him afterwards & he said it was the hardest meeting he had done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Glad you got some pictures Steve, thanks. Martin, who I'd never ridden with before, struggled to find a set up that worked. If you look carefully at the pictures you'll see that the bike wasn't breaking into a slide at all most of the time. Rather it was pushing on making it very difficult to ride. We did manage to change the set up a bit in the later races and found that the very slick inside line lead to too much overslide. Talk about frustrating. But it was good to rub shoulders with the great and the good (including Barry Briggs). Did have a long chat with Sean Wilson and he did confirm that this was his last meeting. He's off to become a full time engine tuner. He admited he's going to keep his bikes and may be seen at Scunthorpe, testing, but his competitive race days are over. So there. If you'd told me 5 years ago that I'd be racing in Ryen Sullivan's testimonial, I'd have said you were out of your tiny. You never know. Shortcrust
i could ask if she'd make any changes to the setup after the first go. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now that really would confuse her. She'd have to ask someone to hold her fag for her. Edited April 4, 2006 by shooting star
