pugwash
Hi Pugwash, went and had a look at the Art Hotel last year, it looks really nice, and as you say it's so close to the square. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good value too. 3 nights B&B in a Junior Suite = £190, less 20% discount = £152, works out a £51 per night, not a bad price for a suite in a 4 star hotel. Discount can be obtained by previously staying in anyPOLISH PRESTIGE HOTELS. If you're staying at the HP Park Plaza make sure that you get your room key card signed off and you can get 20% discount at the City Hotel, Bydgoszcz in September. mojo
We are staying at Holiday Inn - stayed there two years ago. Convenient for city centre. We took a taxi from airport and also to stadium but had difficulty afterwards as we did not know the number of trams going back to city. Can anyone help ? Travelled via Warsaw and stayed at Holiday Inn Warsaw as well. The Wroclaw hotel organised the Warsaw hotel taxi to meet us at the airport which was brilliant. This time we are flying from East Midlands direct.

Rico
Don't think you can get any closer than this one. It is behind bends 1 and 2 of the track and within the stadium complex. There is another hotel not far from the gates at the entrance to the stadium complex, but despite having had a beer in there I can't recall the name of it. By staying there you will of course be a) removing the fun and feisty tram journey back into town and b ) denying yourselves the pleasure of Saturday night in the beautiful Wroclaw town centre. Rico <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well i dont want to miss out on any fun, and would love to meet up with other speedway fans, where do you suggest to stay in the centre? and is it easy to get a tram to the track? Hopefully we will meet other fans there and just follow them lol!
Rico
Trams go right from the town centre to the stadium, can't remember the numbers right now, but am sure someone will know them off the top of their heads. Hotels in Wroclaw are listed on www.wroclaw.pl. As you will see from this thread there are people staying in various ones. Personally staying in the Radisson, which is lovely, but I haven't heard a bad thing about any of the others. Plenty of speedway fans milling around the bars in town after. Addy
Right Rico I am planning to go to Wroclaw, next year (no exams to clash with in 2007, phew) Any chance of booking early with Rico tours?

Go to the Ryanair site, book a flight, book a hotel, sorted. Certainly one of the easiest to sort out. Just a question of being prepared to book at the right time. Anyway I reckon Rico tours will be very busy over the next few months / years, with a very important little domestic responsibility All the best. London Witch
Give him a chance Addy, before long he'll be juggling a bottle feed, posting on the forum and booking a trip to Poland all at the same time!
janey1
Have just re checked ryanairs prices for wroclaw and they have gone up over 100 pound in just a couple of days, so now thinkin of flying to Poznan and hiring a car has anyone done this? If not may look at Eskilstuna instead but although the air fares are cheaper the accomodation is more expensive in Sweden.
Rico
Perfectly good train service between Poznan and Wroclaw that only takes around a couple of hours. A good deal cheaper (and safer) than hiring a car for the trip. Rico
