SCB
I'm the same as Rabbit. I don't mind admitting in a GP I'll cheer for Crumpy and next seaosn PUK but when they come up against Lee Richardsson and Scott Nicholls (two rider I do like I'll admit, but not as much as I like Crumpy and Puk) I'll chear for Scott and Lee. My favourite rider is Craig Watson but if he was in a GP final along side Nicholls, Richardson and Loram I'd want him to come last. Im Welsh/British first. Sandie
Lupus I know your passionate about your club and I accept that 100% but I have a question for you and anyone else that would like to answer - If Karlsson and Lindgren moved to Coventry (or Poole, or Swindon or ANO) and they were replaced by Nicholls, Harris, Richardson - to name a few, where would your loyalties be then? Its not a catch question it highlights the club or Country theory? And before everyone starts its purely hypothetical and it isnt my intention to start a debate on why Wolves would never buy these riders!!! Grachan
For me it's GB all the way. For example, in the World Cup I never for a second wanted Leigh Adams to beat any British riders. In the World Championship, though, I feel differently. It's an individual thing, and in a GP I'd pick Adams over Nicholls any time. It's just how I feel. Follow your heart. That's all you can do. tarabanko
Up the swedes what Tarabanko? Seriously though - would you ever consider cheering for riders from another country other than Sweden or another nation's team? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No! But I appluad the best team on the night and of course the best rider on the night. Edited February 6, 2006 by tarabanko

So in the scenario you've painted I would cheer for Nicholls, Hariis and Rich.....well at a push! I can understand why people feel they have to support their country but if there's one thing I can't stand it's hypocrisy! If you don't like a rider 51 weeks of the year and would rather eat the burgers at Swindon (Blerch!!! ) than cheer for them, why on earth does that change at a test match and in the WC? Trees
Nicholls - Coventry Rider - nuff said!Harris - See Nicholls! Hardly a good reason not to like a rider Lupus! lol Mind you I guess I did the same when I was a kid re Ipswich riders.
frigbo
What's with this "like a rider" and "dislike a rider" thing?? I can't imagine many fans know riders well enough to determine whether they like them or not. Surely most people follow a particular team and country and not just an individual rider. Certainly if Mr Clean rode for someone else against Swindon i'd want him to get turned over by riders in my team regardless of who they were. It's all a bit odd to me!!
