FOOTNOTE: There may be a possibility that the two Brits may not be able to ride due to a delay from the Russian Embassy with their Visas. Mark and Roger didn't ride as the Russian Embassy failed to grant their Visas after all, and they were forced to cancel their trip.

It also looks like a couple of the riders had to ride in the Semi to cover for them

Good win for Bulankin, with an unbeaten second day. Nice to see Klabo and Aakko splitting the Russians, but no surprises with a Russian 1-2-3 on a Russian Track.

Good result for Marian Kreklau, which may signal a change in his fortunes

The full results for all three meetings (Semi and 2 day Final) with heat details are HERE.

That looks very unlucky for Antti.Needed jut 1 point from his last 2 heats to finish 3rd(2 points from 2 and he was in a run-off for second)and fluffed it!

Doesn't look good for the World Championship though for the non-russians

Does anyone know if Artjom Samorodov is any relation to the legendary Boris Samorodov? Boris, along with Igor Plechanov, was one of the Russian greats of the 60s.

Look at the top of the thread,Ian.Conkers has posted the relevant info :D

By coincidence today i came across an old Speedway Pictorial "Focal review" of the G.B v U.S.S.R test series 1965 with pics of Plechanov,Samorodov and of course the great Gab Kadirov

Sorry, Iris - it's the jet-lag.

"Grandson of Boris" - could be the title of a new horror movie, couldn't it?
