I know you dont mean to but we want to be with you too. But money this year is tighter than normal so we are picking cheaper options and unfortunately Copenhagen doesnt fit that category. But think positively - when you come to Oxford think of the fun we will have EVERY WEEK. No - I dont mean going to Sandy Lane, although it does make me laugh frequently!! ZKZ Kitten
You wont be on your own! We'll be there! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is good news! and unfortunately Copenhagen doesnt fit that category. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And this is bad news but I know what you mean. Copenhagen is not a cheapest place in the world. I suppose all the money you spend for travelling and tickets is just not worth it. But in this case I'll save my money on other GP and see if I find time to meet you somewhere else xxx

seanisnumber1
I am considering going and staying in central Copenhagen. Can anyone give tips on a good hotel - twin bed room plus breakfast required. Also, any information on travelling from the airport to central Copenhagen, and to the stadium would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good choice. Wouldnt recomend the Grand. It was a nice enough hotel but there was no bar for that last drink when you roll home. We got a travel pass from the airport that gave us train from airport to City Centre and then bus and river boats. it also got us into Tivoli Gardens which are a must. Kitten is the best person to give you the information as she is currently studying there. And if you really lucky she will meet up with you. Think she lived with us for 4 days last year. it was great

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are plenty of hotels in the city center of Copenhagen, very close from the main station. Here you can find and choose hotels from 2-stars to 5-stars; most of them are in the city center and there is always a small map showing the way from main station to the hotel. You can check the rooms' availability and make a reservation online. It's quite easy to get the room for June now. I checked it and plenty of rooms are not yet booked. Travelling from airport to the city center is also very easy. There is a train going directly from the airport, you just have to make sure that on the screen it says it's going through 'København H' station. Recently, the buses have changed a lot and I'll have to check how to get to the stadium and I'll let you know If you have any questions just ask and I'll be happy to answer

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Been to all the Copenhagen GP's so far stay at the ansgar hotel - cheap n cheerful and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Hotel nothing special but means have more money for drinks - as copenhagen is quite expensive unless its Hard Rock's Happy Hour As Kitten has said train is the easiest option from the airport. Never tried the buses, usually just get a taxi from the rank outside the station to the stadium...
