Paragon
Does anyone know when the draw for the semi's are & is anyone else from the forum going. My wife & I are staying in town from the Thursday to Sunday & we would like to meet up with other forum members if they are going.
Conkers
I envy you, as I'd like to be there with you! The draw is usually made about a week before. Check Speedway.org as they usually have it listed. As you are there from Thursday to Monday, if you get a chance have a half day in Berchtesgaden and Koningsee, lovely part of the world. toonarmy084
The semi final in krasnogorsk russia is not garunteed as khomisavich is not listed the russian federation breakaway group who runs the track say the will not run this semi or the 1st gp in saransk. The semi final in inzell has the german championship in the same weekend
Conkers
If that is the case with Saransk and Krasnogorsk, I suspect that the Ufa Track may be used for one of the Internationals and as they are having a cold spell then maybe a track near Moscow - unless of course the NMFR decide to compromise with the MFR in order to swell their coffers. Conkers
The line up for the German Championship Meeting at Inzell on Thursday- Practice at 10.00, meeting at 19.00 (Pitwalk from 17.00Hrs) taken from the Inzell Site 1. Ullrich Büschke 2. Reinhard Greisel 3. Günter Kirchner 4. Georg Kötzinger 5. Sebastian Gegenbauer 6. Robert Eibl 7. Andreas Lang 8. Johann Weber 9. Viatcheslav Nikulin 10. Jochen Reischmann 11. Dmitri Tschatschin 12. Helmut Weber 13. Franz Mayerbüchler 14. Alexander Unruh 15. Anton Weber 16. Max Niedermier Jnr. 17. Mark Riedle (Res) Defending Champion Stefan Pletschacher won't be riding due to a broken collar bone. Interesting that Helmut Weber is riding again - not seen him ride for a few years and I thought he'd given up, to coach his sons (who he will race against). Also being old is remembering Max Neidermaier ride then seeing his son has started riding 22 years later! Paragon
Good meeting last night (Very cold though), the ice was the worst i've ever seen for a meeting, it looked as if they just left it after the practice. Slava Nikulin did a very dodgy pass on Eibl on the last lap of the final, making heavy contact on the back straight, nearly pushing him through the bails. You only get this exitement from Ice Racing. Well done... smile.gif I remember Max the first couple of years I began going, and was impressed by him. If his son is this good in his first meeting, then look forward to seeing him in the future. Krasnikov did well to recover from his opening rides where he fell. Zakharov having a good meeting too, as is Baseev. They do it all again tomorrow to get to the Final. On this form, Franky looks good for the Final in Russia, but Eibl needs to do something special to make the Final to give Slava some company. iris123
Just to clarify Conkers, where there is "fällt " it means dropped out rather than fell.Sturz is normally given for fallen. In Krasnikov's 2 heats he had 1st motor then chain problems.I think An example in the Krasnogorsk semi Aakko has an "s" for sturz...i.e he fell Edited February 4, 2006 by iris123
Conkers
Thanks for that - I was using the German-English section of my son's dictionary which he is using for GCSE. My German is somewhat lacking and I do refer to that when I'm stuck. Mind you I can order beer!
