Bryn
Just turned midday and pleased to confirm that, after some fairly "tropical" weather over the past few days, the sun is beating down and the sky is blue here at Manly where I'm currently based. That's a two hour drive from Newcastle but I'm told the weather is similar there this morn so everyone is looking forward to the meeting. Looks like Leigh has his ninth Oz title in the bag (will he try for number ten next year?) and main focus will be on who'll finish runner up and claim the brand new Jawa, supplied by MJM Speedway Spares, for the highest placed non-GP rider. My money's on Todd! As usual mein hosts Ron & Shona Malm will be providing live heat by heat results on both the general speedway Yahoo group and the Australian one. Racing commences around 7pm Oz time (8am UK?).

Sandie
Hi Guys, Any news coming through yet. Sorry Bryn but my moneys on Rory for second place -obviously!! But at the end of the day as long as theres some good racing and Rory stays upright I'll be happy. Looking forward to those reports Ron, Shona and REAR WHEEL ROOST DUDE, we all appreciate them back here in the UK.
f-s-p
I remember reading from somewhere that when Todd made his last comeback, he started with some crappy bikes and ended up winning a meeting with a grand prize of a new Jawa. That's when things really started to happen again. History to repeat itself???

Sandie
By my calculations that therefore means the following: 1st....... LEIGH ADAMS 40 + 20 = 60 2nd...... Todd Wiltshire 35 + 18 =53 3rd....... Rory Schlein 33 + 13 = 46 4th....... Adam Shields 28 + 17 = 45 5th....... Travis McGowan 27 + 14 = 41 Congratulations to all, especially Leigh on a solid performance.

TwoMinuteWarning
I remember reading from somewhere that when Todd made his last comeback, he started with some crappy bikes and ended up winning a meeting with a grand prize of a new Jawa. That's when things really started to happen again. History to repeat itself??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe it did - Todd apparently won a new Jawa for coming overall second today. SCB
Well surely Todd has to put that new bike to use?! Good to see Wato back to his best (although we're told it's still on 80% ) and beating the rider the Newport fans know he can.
