Chivs
When you are off poorly you have to watch an old Speedway video. Yesterday it was the Bees 1996 season review. And I forgot how good it was to watch an old Bees video on the old Bees track. Brian Andersen, Simon Cross, Shaun Tacey, Stuart Robson, Kevin Little, Shane Bowes and Paul Bentley. Some good action, especially from Bowes who had a few decent rides. Thats what days off are for!
Ross
Know what you mean, stuck on the sofa mug of tea and spend the day watching "the good old days", done this myself many times. Usually start with the 88 video then i`v got a Tommy Knudsen video and alo the world of sport from 1983 when we beat the rivals Cradley 40-38. Going back to what you said about the track, i still dont like the new Brandon track. The old one was made to look huge and the grass on the centre green (now centre tarmac). They should have left it how it was as there is no track advantage anymore but no the dog track i there that will be the design now till the day they shut the doors for good. You'll have all the time in the world then for watching historic speedway - once you've completed the list of jobs given to you by Mrs Chivs. This will be thrust into your hand each morning before you're fully concious. Items will casually be added to it vocally as the day progresses and the list shortens. On the other hand - got any vacancies for a willing and vastly experienced youth of 73 in your firm? Enjoy you bed of sickness, mate. Ron.
