HenryW
ML seems more up on her Cycle Speedwy than Matt! Maybe just better with her spelling, and worked out that "Mr N" didn't fit in too well with the name Chris Jewkes
Sandie
Flight times changed again. Outbound on the Thursday is now 12.30pm (Original time was 10.30am then it was moved to 6.35pm) Return time is still 10.05pm but I cant see Ryan Air leaving an aircraft on the ground for 5hours. Any one want to start a sweepstake on the final slot times!!!
Addy
I'm so glad I didn't arrange a connecting flight Hope those who did can make re-arrangements.
Rema & Ben
Seems to only be the Thurs and Sat flight that has moved to 12pm - Fridays is still leaving late!! Oh such a mess!! Rico
I think I will just check on the morning of the day I am due to leave and see what time they want me at the airport. Am so glad I don't have to try and sort a connecting flight for this shambles. I knew there was a benefit to living down south. Rico
Joanne
Get bus or taxi from Gdansk airport ( link here) to Gdasnk Glowny station then train to Bydgoszcz Glowna. Timetables for trains can be found at Polrail website. Pretty frequent and reasonably fast trains between the 2 cities. We flew into Gdansk last year and the taxi driver ended up driving us to Torun, pretty much the same distance as Bydgoszcz from Gdansk. I'd say the train is definitely a more comfortable way to travel. Rico <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thinking about the Gdansk route myself. How much roughly from Gdansk to Bydgoszcz by train and by taxi bearing in mind there will be three of us?
KevH
Does anyone have a link to the Polish Railways timetables please? What I'm trying to find out is, as the return flight from Gdasnk leaves around 11am, would that be too early to get a connecting train from Bydgoszcz on the Monday morning? I dunno - some people you just can't help Maybe you are better suited to go with Travel Plus again Rico Edited February 5, 2006 by Rico

mojo
Thinking about the Gdansk route myself. How much roughly from Gdansk to Bydgoszcz by train and by taxi bearing in mind there will be three of us? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We are trying Stansted to Bydgoszcz this year, Friday to Sunday. Bit annoyed about the time changes but the flights were cheap so are sticking with them. Have not received any notification from Ryanair though. We flew Wizzair from Luton to Gdansk last year and took the train down. There are plenty of trains and the website is good. We took the bus from the airport to the railway station, along with a Polish rider who had been injured riding for Oxford and was going home. His partner spoke to the driver and we did not have to pay but it took a long time. Used a taxi going back and it was cheap - much better. The railfare was about £6 but it was very busy as it was the end of the Polish holidays - if it is busy it is worth paying an extra £1/£2 for first class. Bought tickets at the station. No problems and really enjoyed it. Understand Gdansk is a nice place if you have some time to spare. Also no problem getting an early train back (Kevin). Joanne
Thanks for the info, Mojo. Been to Gdansk last year with Travel Plus, very nice. Had a really nice meal by the river, must have been the most expensive meal in Poland. Sailed out of Gdansk to Sweden. Flights booked, just waiting for hotel confirmation now. Matt Davis
I wish Ryanair would make their minds up with the flight times.. I wanna know where i'll be drinking on my brithday!!
Rico
Mr Davis, Just think "it'll be out of a glass or a bottle". It doesn't matter which country you will be in for the majority of the day, I am sure you will have a ball. There is a well stocked bar at Stansted airport that I have spent many an hour pre-flight in. Regardless of arrival time in Bydgoszcz you will be taken out on the town on the Thursday night and at the end of proceedings left naked tied to the statue on the main square for the pigeons to feed on in the morning. I hope the pigeons aren't TOO hungry Rico Edited February 6, 2006 by Rico
Joanne
Never mind the statue in the square, Rico. What about the statue hanging over the river (I think its a girl)?
