Sandie
The problem we have is that this year its not in the school hols so cannot take an extended break in Poland. Thats why we're stuck with Friday to Sunday which at present seem to be the worst days for flight times. Oh well... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But I hear Polish vodka can make you very poorly so it's probably worth writing the sick note for school now and going back to school on the Tuesday or Wednesday!! Addy
Jo Why not apply it to the National Curriculum: Call it a field trip, which will include: Geography - visitng new lands History - of speedway Psychology, Biology and Sociology, esp on Friday night Maths - adding up the scores Language - when the wrong person wins, oh and Polish Sport - speaks for itsself Physics - the mechanics of two wheeled machines and of course Chemistry - in fact over the week end she could do a study on the effects of ethyl- alcohol on homosapiens. You're kidding aren't you LW? They will all be coming back to yours for a kip before continuing their journeys in the morning - sounds like serious inconvenience to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They wouldn't be able to afford my extortionate overnight rates, Kev. Far cheaper to book into a local hotel. Plus the chances of James giving up his bed on a school night are zero!

Joanne
JoWhy not apply it to the National Curriculum: Call it a field trip, which will include: Biology Thanks Addy. I am confused about the biology bit. Where does that come in? I suppose the whole trip will be good for her organisations skills as well. I'll put that in the letter as well. Carelesscause is more excited about having 2 days off school than the actual speedway

Rico
Wouldn't go as far as recommending the Brda Rob, but at this stage of the day it's probably the best you will get booked into. Pod Orlem and City Hotel usually have rooms available once the organisers have confirmed their requirements, but that's not usually till the last minute. My advice would be to book the Brda and try one of the others late on. Rico
whowasthatberntpersson
Is anyone flying out with Ryanair on the Thursday flight able to give me a contact number so I can check for up to date flight times a day or two before, I'll be transitting from Australia and have no way to check until at least tuesday. I'll be flying into England from Australia on the Tuesday (going to Isle of Wight and Poole) then straight out to Poland on Thursday , staying for a week (21st to 28th) before returning for two weeks of speedway in England then to Czecho for the Golden helmet. Will be with another Aussie based fan (Andy) and my 12 year old Son who rides Junior Speedway. Being met by a friend from Torun so not sure what his plans for us are yet, but will be trying to meet as many people as possible (already know of a few on our flight over). So where is everyone planning to meet and when? Is anyone staying over for the extra league playoffs on Sunday and Monday?
